Sometimes beauty does not have to break the bank. Lip liners are one type of beauty products I choose affordability over prestige brands. Of course some prestige brands will have better quality liners but in my experience, many drugstore liners have similar, great quality at a fraction of the price. So today I’ll be sharing 5 brands who make lip liners incredibly affordable without compromising quality!
Most lip liners I use are on the affordable side but that doesn’t mean I splurge on a few higher end ones. Let’s be real, if I could, I’d own lip liners from every brand out there. In case you’re curious, some higher end lip liners I enjoy are from Kat Von D, Mac, Urban Decay, and Bite Beauty. As much as I love them to bits, the ones I reach for the most are from the 5 brands I mention below. Better yet, they all cost less than $6 a piece!
A few days ago, I published my first ever Anti-Haul where I listed a few products/brands I won’t be spending my money on. As I was scrolling through Sephora, Ulta, and numerous Instagram pages to remind myself which products I wasn’t going to bother with, I was left drooling over holiday makeup items I’m eager to get my hands on. Moreover, Sephora’s annual VIB Sale is right around the corner so now is the perfect time to share my wish list and get recommendations from all of you!
Most of these are new launches for Holiday 2017 and some products may be new releases or products I just haven’t got to trying yet. Nevertheless, the makeup industry has left me wishing I had a few thousand bucks to spare on the following products.

Hi loves! Grab a snack or some bubbly because this is going to be a long one.
I am so excited to be writing this post because, if you asked me a few years ago, it’s something I never thought I would have the experience and knowledge to write. I wasn’t always a makeup enthusiast, in fact I started wearing makeup when I was about 19 or 20..and that wasn’t even a full face – just basic foundation, a little eyeliner, and some gloss. Ever since then, I began to do more and more research and spent countless hours watching beauty gurus on youtube and reading dozens of beauty blogs. A little over 5 years later, here I am ready to give beauty beginners some information I wish I had when I first started.
As I dove deeper into the beauty realm, many of my friends and family members would ask me questions about makeup – what foundation to use, what’s a highlighter, what’s the difference between matte and sheer, what do these products even do, etc. The fact that I was able to answer all their questions confidently made me realize it wouldn’t hurt to give my thoughts here on my blog.
This will be the first of a three-part series! As I mentioned above, this post will contain information on makeup products and what they are/do. The next series will do with the best places to shop for makeup, and the last part will do with specific product recommendations!
Alright beauties, this is a long overdue review. I mean..I’ve used up 3 of these Urban Decay Naked Skin One and Done Hybrid Complexion Perfectors (my god this is a mouthful!) already and am well onto finishing up my fourth bottle. So yes, it’s about darn time I reviewed this product!
I had been using Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Ultra Definition Liquid Foundation before I saw this hit the shelves and did enjoy it but somedays I found it leaving my skin a tad bit oily. That didn’t stop me from using 2 whole bottles though! Fast forward to when this particular product hit the shelves. I was so intrigued because it stated it was a skin treatment that provided the effects of a sheer foundation. It’s also meant to blur imperfections, even skin tone, and be a long lasting – all day wear.
I’ve tried dozens and dozens of foundations and I always rely on this one for daily wear. Why? Because it does exactly what it’s meant to do.
Sephora recently had their Spring Beauty Insider sale where VIB and Rouge members received 15% off their purchases while Beauty Insiders received 10% off their purchases. I usually try to wait to do my biggest hauls in the Fall/Winter when Sephora has this same sale, except 20% off for VIB and Rouge members and 15% off for Beauty Insiders. Moreover, they usually send a $10, $15, or $20 off $50+ purchase coupon in December.
This time, however, I couldn’t resist on certain products and did splurge after splurge in store and online.
