Sometimes beauty does not have to break the bank. Lip liners are one type of beauty products I choose affordability over prestige brands. Of course some prestige brands will have better quality liners but in my experience, many drugstore liners have similar, great quality at a fraction of the price. So today I’ll be sharing 5 brands who make lip liners incredibly affordable without compromising quality!
Most lip liners I use are on the affordable side but that doesn’t mean I splurge on a few higher end ones. Let’s be real, if I could, I’d own lip liners from every brand out there. In case you’re curious, some higher end lip liners I enjoy are from Kat Von D, Mac, Urban Decay, and Bite Beauty. As much as I love them to bits, the ones I reach for the most are from the 5 brands I mention below. Better yet, they all cost less than $6 a piece!
Happy Saturday friends! After posting my latest beauty wish list, quite a few of you asked me to create some fun beauty gift guides! I ran a poll on Instagram and over 70% of you wanted to see these created by price point rather than categories so that’s what I’ll be doing. This gift guide will be all about budget friendly options!
Today I’ll be sharing some amazing beauty products that cost less than $10 a piece! These will be perfect for gifts, stocking stuffers, or fun items for you!
A few days ago, I published my first ever Anti-Haul where I listed a few products/brands I won’t be spending my money on. As I was scrolling through Sephora, Ulta, and numerous Instagram pages to remind myself which products I wasn’t going to bother with, I was left drooling over holiday makeup items I’m eager to get my hands on. Moreover, Sephora’s annual VIB Sale is right around the corner so now is the perfect time to share my wish list and get recommendations from all of you!
Most of these are new launches for Holiday 2017 and some products may be new releases or products I just haven’t got to trying yet. Nevertheless, the makeup industry has left me wishing I had a few thousand bucks to spare on the following products.

NYX Cosmetics recently released a new collection of their liquid cream lipsticks as their Luv Out Loud Campaign where they partnered with makeup artist Angel Merino. According to an article I found on Byrdie, NYX Cosmetics already donated $6,000 to charity and will be donating another $10,000 another charity chosen by the winner of a sweepstake they held.
These velvet matte lip creams are exclusive to Ulta and are $6.99 a piece. HOWEVER, all NYX Cosmetics is marked down 30% until 9/30/2017 making these $4.89 a piece! Plus shipping is free for orders $35+ for a limited time! If you haven’t grabbed these yet, now is a great time to check them out!
The title says it all. And when I say for all things beauty, I really do mean it! Not only do I get most of my makeup and skincare from Ulta Beauty, I get my hair done at their salon as well as most of my haircare products! I bet it already sounds way too good to be true but what if I say it gets better? Because it totally does! Ulta not only carries budget friendly and high end brands but they also offer some of the BEST deals on beauty by sending out weekly coupons and often times discounts on 20% off purchases as well as their ever so amazing annual 21 Days of Beauty Event! More than that, their points reward system is AMAZING.
If you haven’t seen one of my recent posts describing what the 21 Days of Beauty is, I highly recommend checking it out! There are only a few days left before the event ends so be sure to take full advantage of it while you can.
Beauty on a budget is incredibly important to me, nothing makes me happier than hauling makeup without breaking the bank! There are only a handful of brands I follow that truly provide beauty products at an affordable price without compromising quality. e.l.f. Hi loves! Grab a snack or some bubbly because this is going to be a long one.
I am so excited to be writing this post because, if you asked me a few years ago, it’s something I never thought I would have the experience and knowledge to write. I wasn’t always a makeup enthusiast, in fact I started wearing makeup when I was about 19 or 20..and that wasn’t even a full face – just basic foundation, a little eyeliner, and some gloss. Ever since then, I began to do more and more research and spent countless hours watching beauty gurus on youtube and reading dozens of beauty blogs. A little over 5 years later, here I am ready to give beauty beginners some information I wish I had when I first started.
As I dove deeper into the beauty realm, many of my friends and family members would ask me questions about makeup – what foundation to use, what’s a highlighter, what’s the difference between matte and sheer, what do these products even do, etc. The fact that I was able to answer all their questions confidently made me realize it wouldn’t hurt to give my thoughts here on my blog.
This will be the first of a three-part series! As I mentioned above, this post will contain information on makeup products and what they are/do. The next series will do with the best places to shop for makeup, and the last part will do with specific product recommendations!
