Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector

Alright beauties, this is a long overdue review. I mean..I’ve used up 3 of these Urban Decay Naked Skin One and Done Hybrid Complexion Perfectors (my god this is a mouthful!) already and am well onto finishing up my fourth bottle. So yes, it’s about darn time I reviewed this product!

I had been using Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Ultra Definition Liquid Foundation before I saw this hit the shelves and did enjoy it but somedays I found it leaving my skin a tad bit oily. That didn’t stop me from using 2 whole bottles though! Fast forward to when this particular product hit the shelves. I was so intrigued because it stated it was a skin treatment that provided the effects of a sheer foundation. It’s also meant to blur imperfections, even skin tone, and be a long lasting – all day wear.

Urban Decay Naked Skin One and Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector

I’ve tried dozens and dozens of foundations and I always rely on this one for daily wear. Why? Because it does exactly what it’s meant to do.

Liquid lipsticks are one of my favorite beauty products, I have hundreds and will definitely own hundreds more. So naturally, when Lady Burgundy came out with their new line of Matte Lip Creams, I was beyond ecstatic!

Lady Burgundy started off as a beauty, fashion, and lifestyle blog several years ago and since then has created their own line of cosmetics. These lip creams have been in the making for two years and are created with quality ingredients and are home made in Canada. Plus, these babies are cruelty free, always a plus in my book!

If you're looking for POC friendly and incredibly comfortable liquid matte lipsticks with stunning packaging, Lady Burgundy is for you!

Disclaimer: I was sent these lip creams free of charge. This post is not sponsored and there are no referral/affiliate links. As always, all opinions are 100% mine.

Sephora Beauty Insider Sale Recommendations | Spring 2017

Sephora’s Beauty Insider sale is just around the corner so I put together a quick list of my recommendations! Below are the dates for Beauty Insiders, VIB, and VIB Rouge and how much of a discount each tier will receive:

  • Rouge Members get 15% off 4/18-4/24 with code ROUGESPRING
  • VIB Members get 15% off 4/19-4/24 with code VIBSPRING
  • Beauty Insiders get 10% off 4/20-4/23 with code BISPRING
First off – if you’re an Ulta Platinum Member and received a 20% off code via email – I highly recommend checking Ulta to see if they have the products you may have planned to purchase at Sephora. You’ll save a little bit more plus earn points to use towards a future purchase!
Secondly, if you plan to place orders online I highly suggest you use Ebates to earn cash back towards your purchase! I have the Chrome plugin so it reminds me to use Ebates at every valid online store. I’ve earned hundreds of dollars from online shopping through Ebates!
The first thing I added to my cart is the Benefit Cheeky Parade Palette! The price will drop from $58 to $49.30 for VIB + VIB Rouge member and $52.20 for Beauty Insiders. Full of five best selling Benefit bronzers and blushes, this palette is great to have, especially if you have travel plans coming up!

Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighters – $38 but price will go down to $32.30 for VIB/Rouge members and $34.20. These are some of my favorite highlighters! Opal is hands down my favorite shade – I’m about to hit pan on the one I have so I’ll be purchasing a backup and possibly a couple other shades to complete my collection!
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner – Originally $20, price will drop to $17 for VIB/Rouge members and $18 for Beauty Insiders. I actually have preferred Stila’s Stay All Day Liquid Liner for years but it hasn’t been the same the past couple of times I bought it so KVD has become a new favorite! It provides a high intensity black finish and is easy to create any eyeliner look!
Farsali Rose Gold Elixir – $54, price will drop to $45.90 for VIB/Rouge members and $48.60 for Beauty Insiders. I’ve heard really great things about this product – it’s meant to nourish and brighten skin, improve texture, reduce fine lines and discoloration, and provide an instant glow upon usage!
Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Lip & Liner – Marked down to $30, will go down to $25.50 for VIB/Rouge members and $27 for Beauty Insiders. This set features 14 deluxe and full size lip products. It originally costs $60 but will cost less than half that during the sale!
I’ll be listing a few categories of products next just to get you all brainstorming on what else you might want to pick up!
Now’s a good time to stock up on any face products you may be running low on! If we’re talking foundations, I LOVE the MUFE Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation! It reacts well with with my sensitive skin and provides the perfect amount of coverage. Tinted Moisturizers are something I plan on experimenting with this year – specifically the NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 and Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20. I’ve tried the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better™ CC+™ Cream with SPF 50+ and tarte BB Tinted Treatment 12-Hour Primer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen but my skin did not do well with either of them, they both left my skin feeling insanely itchy after a few hours of wear.
Now’s also a great time to restock on some tools like Beauty Blenders or even add the beautiful tarte Make Believe In Yourself: Magic Wands Brush Set to your collection as well as one of those High Tech Gadgets for your hair, skin, etc!
Lastly, take a look at the sale items in your local Sephora or online to see if there’s anything that catches your eye! There’s no harm in adding the Urban Decay Makeup Lockdown Travel Duo to your cart right? Or even the Algenist Anti Aging Essentials Set!
What do you plan on hauling this coming week? Let me know your recommendations below!

Rani Cosmetics Sparked Dazzling Lipsticks | First Impression and Swatches

As I was catching up on youtube a few days ago I noticed Eshani from Total Makeup Junkie 101 released a new video talking about her new makeup line, Rani Cosmetics!

I have been following Eshani on youtube for over a really long time now and not only love her videos, but I admire her as a person. She’s someone I can fully trust when it comes to honest reviews and facts about beauty products.
I was absolutely thrilled to hear that Rani Cosmetics initial launch was going to be a lipstick line, especially since her videos are the ones I rely on when looking for lip swatches and information on formulas.
This initial line is called the Sparked Dazzling Lipsticks and so far there are six stunning shades available. As the name suggests, these lipsticks have a shimmery finish. Seeing these was a trip down memory lane for me because I used to wear lipsticks just like these with my Indian outfits when I was younger!
Here’s a list of ingredients from their website:

Ingredients: Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, Ozokerite, Propylene Glycol, Silica, Flavor (Aroma), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, Tocopheryl Acetate, BHT, Tin Oxide.
May Contain + / – : Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Yellow 5 Lake (CI 19140), Manganese Violet (CI 77742), Blue 1 Lake (CI 42090), Red 7 Lake (CI 15850), Red 28 Lake (CI 45410), Red 30 Lake (CI 73360).
Net Wt. 0.12 fl oz. / 3.5g each
Moreover, these products are vegan and cruelty free! Each shade costs $18 but if you’re looking to buy all six, there is a bundle available for $99 (a savings of $9!) right here! Also, Rani Cosmetics offers worldwide shipping!
I am in LOVE with the packaging! It’s something different and really makes the Indian side of me super happy! The henna print on the box along with this rose gold foil design on the lipstick tube is absolutely stunning! I also really love the hot pink foiled logo as well – all in all, the packaging is gorgeous and feels luxurious!
These are the six shades available! I am so thankful the sticker labels are the true colors of the shade – I wish more brands did this!
I can’t get over how stunning the packaging is along with the shades! These shades would look beautiful on every skin tone. The formula is really smooth and buildable. They aren’t patchy at all and you’ll be good to go with just one swipe!
Here are some quick swatches I did. I’ll definitely be leaning towards Tattoo, Lassi, and Syrup for the next few months and  Latte, Bindi, and Eclipse towards the mid/end of the year! This photo does not do justice to the shimmer at all but it looks completely stunning in each shade in person! Moreover, each shade has a unique scent to it!
Here’s a description of each shade from their website:
BINDI- A classic, medium-red base laced with gold and pink shimmer. Infused with a subtle strawberries & cream scent.
SYRUP- A true, fuchsia-pink base laced with gold and pink shimmer. Infused with a subtle rose scent.
LASSI- A vibrant, orange-red base laced with gold and pink shimmer. Infused with a subtle mango scent.
ECLIPSE- A vampy, dark purple base laced with pink shimmer. Infused with a subtle coconut scent.
LATTE- A sultry, chocolate brown base laced with subtle violet and blue reflects. Infused with a subtle chai latte scent.
TATTOO- A universal, pinky-nude base laced with pink shimmer. Infused with a subtle caramel cream scent.
My overall initial thoughts on the Sparked Dazzling Lipsticks are completely positive. I had really high hopes because of Eshani herself – from her videos she seems incredibly intelligent, has reviewed a vast amount of beauty products, and also seems like someone who would put a lot of thought and effort in something like this. And I think she totally did! From the packaging to the formula it’s obvious she put a lot of time and effort into creating these products.
I am really excited to see what’s next for Rani Cosmetics! What about you? Have you bought any of these shades or do you plan to?

Tarte Make Believe In Your Self Eye and Cheek Palette | Swatches

Tarte recently had a friends and family sale and I couldn’t resist grabbing their new Make Believe in Yourself Palette!

This palette costs $40 and is available on Tarte’s website as well as at Sephora and Ulta! Note: If you plan on purchasing this in the next week or so, I recommend purchasing it from Sephora as their Beauty Insider event will begin 4/18 – more details below:
  • Rouge Members get 15% off 4/18-4/24 with code ROUGESPRING
  • VIB Members get 15% off 4/19-4/24 with code VIBSPRING
  • Beauty Insiders get 10% off 4/20-4/23 with code BISPRING

Anywho ~ back to the palette!

This palette is absolutely magical!
Here’s a description straight from Sephora :
What it is:
A kaleidoscopic, unicorn-inspired eyeshadow palette with 10 radiant shadows and a strobing eye and cheek highlighter.

What it does:
The make believe in yourself eye & cheek palette features hypnotic shades that can be layered with the matte base and the strobing eye and cheek highlighter for a multi-faceted, fairy-like glow. Infused with Amazonian clay and mineral pigments, the silky-soft formula blends to a fine, long-lasting finish without any fallout or chalkiness.

This palette contains:
– 10 x 0.105 oz/ 3 g Eyeshadow in Magic (bronze shimmer), Wings (copper shimmer), Marvel (metallic sage shimmer), Trance (taupe slate shimmer), Fairy (metallic lavender shimmer), Mystic (blue pearl shimmer), Dream (turquoise shimmer), Crystal (iridescent champagne shimmer), Pixie (golden pink shimmer), Myth (matte nude)
Let’s check out some swatches – these are without primer
I adore this palette since I don’t have many shades like these already, particularly the blues/greens. Moreover, these shadows blend really well and they’re long lasting!
If you’re thinking of purchasing this palette, you can do so here!

Swagbucks | Earn Free Sephora Gift Cards and PayPal Cash

Happy Monday beauties! I thought I’d do a quick rundown on how to earn FREE Sephora gift cards since their annual Beauty Insider sale is just around the corner AND you can get 12% off your first $25 gift card each month!

If you haven’t heard about the Beauty Insider sale – here’s a quick guide to the dates/codes:

  • Rouge Members get 15% off 4/18-4/24 with code ROUGESPRING
  • VIB Members get 15% off 4/19-4/24 with code VIBSPRING
  • Beauty Insiders get 10% off 4/20-4/23 with code BISPRING
The sale will be valid in stores and online – cards have been mailed out – don’t worry if you haven’t received yours yet, it will be coming in the next few days!

Okay – so back to free gift cards!

I wrote about Swagbucks way back in 2014 when I first launched Glamour and Giggles but a few things have changed since so I thought I’d do a refresher.

I’ve been using Swagbucks for over 7 years now and have redeemed countless gift cards and paypal cash! Not only do they have Paypal Cash and Sephora gift cards, they have HUNDREDS of other prizes to choose from!

If you have enough Swagbucks – I would suggest snagging a $25 gift card of your choice because you will get a 12% discount on your first $25 gift card each month, making it 2200 Swagbucks rather than 2500!

If you have a couple hours to spare each day, it’s completely doable earn enough Swagbucks to redeem multiple Sephora cards before the sale! Below are the 3 easiest ways I earn Swagbucks:

  • Complete the daily tasks – these are listed on the left hand side of the screen. These are easy peasy and only will only take you a few minutes. Plus they’ll help you reach your daily goal so you can earn a bonus amount of Swagbucks at the end of each month!
  • Utilize Swagbucks as your search engine! You don’t have to make it your default (I don’t, I’m so used to Google!) but your chance of earning Swagbucks will increase if you do. Nevertheless, you can earn Swagbucks by searching things you’ll already be looking up with your other search engines. Note: Swagbucks is powered by Yahoo!
  • Watch videos – easy peasy once again! I tend to do this when I’m watching TV – the videos are short and you only need to stay on one video for about 30 seconds before moving onto the next!
One thing I didn’t mention on my top 3 easiest ways to earn is surveys. I know this is a popular option for many Swagbucks users and definitely one of the biggest ways to earn Swagbucks but I hardly ever qualify for surveys. They do give you one Swagbuck for going through the qualification process but sometimes that process takes up a lot of time so I prefer to do the three I mentioned above.
There are Swagbucks referral links in this post but no worries if you don’t want to use them! Let me know if you have any questions, I’d be more than happy to help!
Happy earning!
