March 2015 Fit Snack Review + Giveaway!

Fit Snack is a fairly new subscription service that has impressed me with the vast variety of snacks they manage to send out in each box!

Fit Snack is a monthly sub that sends out fitness tips and 6-9 delicious snacks. They are committed to provide nutritious snacks that compliment any diet. Additionally, Fit Snack focuses on a combination of the “Perfect 10”: High Protein | Complex Carbs | Low Sugar | GMO-Free | Paleo | Gluten Free | Clean Eating | Sustainable | Organic | Raw.  You can read more about Fit Snack here!
Fit Snack costs $19 a month + $5 shipping for US subscribers (shipping costs are higher for international subscribers) and they do have slightly cheaper plans if you purchase a 3, 6, or 12 month subscription!

Each box is jam packed full of goodies and includes a card listing the items sent!

The back side of this card has a workout routine!
Onto the goodies!
Mov It Energy Gummies in Citrus and Berry 4 packs – $5.66
These energy supplements are meant to be taken 20 minutes before any workout/sports performance. I’m not sure if I’ll use this since I rarely work out but who knows, I’ve been meaning to start going to the gym at least 3 times a week..we’ll see what happens!

Flamous Organic Original Falafel Chips – 1.6 oz $1.58

Flamous Organic Spicy Falafel Chips – 1.6 oz $1.58
I love Falafel chips and cannot wait to make some hummus so I can eat these! I’m glad Fit Snack sent two different flavors! These chips are non gmo, gluten free, vegetarian verified, organic, and antioxidant rich.
Keen One Quinoa Chocolate Nut Krunch – 0.4 oz $4.50

Biosanes Oatmeal Raisin Cookie – $2.71

Detour Smart Blueberry Oatmeal Bar – $1.65
I am not even kidding when I say I ripped open this bag as soon as I saw it. These are SO GOOD! They’re not too sweet or crunchy and I love how it’s healthy and super delicious at the same time!
The oatmeal raisin cookie is rich in fiber, proteins, vitamins, and minerals and is said to be a great healthy snack. I’m always down for a cookie so I’m excited to try this one out!
I pretty much love anything with blueberries so I know I’ll love this whole grain oatmeal bar, I hope I love it enough to buy a whole box since I’m still in search of the perfect snacks to take to class!
Sweetwood Cattle Beef Jerky – 2 oz $5.44

Bio Coffee – $1.00

WowButter – 0.56 oz $0.48
I don’t eat beef so I will be passing the jerky off to a friend, but it is gluten free and MSG free!
If you know me you know I am a caffeine addict. The Bio Coffee is an alkaline coffee and it’s meant to give you the energy regular coffee does but without all the harmful side effects!
The WowButter is a peanut butter replacement and is a natural source of Omega 3 essential fatty acids and better quality protein than regular peanut butter!
If my calculations are right, this month’s box is valued at $24.60! That’s just the amount of the box + shipping. Although I won’t be able to try everything in this box, I really do love it because of the Keen One, Biosanes Cookie, and Detour Bar!
Fit Snack introduces me to so many brands that are new to me and definitely motivates me to eat healthier! If you’re interested in subscribing, you can do so here! My readers will be able to get a free gym bag by subscribing using my link!
Due to a small mix up, I have an extra Fit Snack box that I will be giving away to one of my lovely readers! This box has the contents of my February Box, you can see the items here! The only difference will be the winner will receive a chocolate chip cookie rather than the lemon poppy seed.

eDivv: The Perfect Place for Beauty and Fashion Swaps

Photo from eDivv’s website

Happy Friday everyone! Today I wanted to share a community I really enjoy being a part of – eDivv

eDivv is a place where members can trade, aka “divvy”, unwanted beauty and fashion related items – these can be samples from subscription boxes that didn’t spark your interest or products you bought but weren’t fond of! I was able to divvy numerous items for products I’ve always wanted to try such as IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye Concealer, Klorane Makeup Remover, Too Faced La Creme, and numerous other things – I’ll leave photos below!
Members can join eDivv and create a shop for free, where they can add items they would like to divvy! You can then browse through various categories or shops and initiate a trade when you find something(s) you’d love to have, then either make an offer or tell the shop owner you’re interested and they will have the chance to go through your shop and make a counteroffer! Once a trade is confirmed, you will be asked to buy a shipping label through eDivv or purchase your own and submit a tracking number.
Easy enough right?
FREE shipping labels can be earned after every 7th divvy and you can also get a free label with the code “Rme12l5S7iQ “!
I know a few readers wanted more info about eDivv so I was really happy and appreciative when cofounder of eDivv, Casey Casterline, took some time to answer a few questions, so let’s jump right into them!

What is eDivv?

eDivv is a marketplace for women who have extra beauty products and fashion accessories, and who are passionate about the beauty industry to buy, sell, and swap their extra products.  The ability to buy/sell is a feature we are developing now and will be availlable in the next several weeks!

What inspired you to create a community like eDivv?

I started getting Birchbox in 2011 and loved it!  I had always loved makeup, but subscribing to beauty subscription boxes really gave me a chance to explore and experiment with new products and colors.  After awhile, I noticed that some experiments weren’t for me (green nail polish anyone?) and things kept piling up. I felt bad about throwing these things away and tried to find an alternative solution.  I went online and noticed that women were already trading on blogs and forums but there was no community to bring all of these smaller communities together, and is why I built eDivv.

I imagine there may be some bad apples in the community who do not fulfill their end of a Divvy or are dishonest when listing products, how do you deal with such members?

In every group of people, there are bound to be a few bad apples 🙂 We handle these situations in a number of ways:
1. The rating system.  After every divvy, you have the ability to rate your divvy partner 1-4 stars and leave a written review.  We want these reviews to be honest so we also give you the ability to leave it anonymously.
2. Blocking. If there is ever a situation were we find someone is being dishonest or don’t fulfill their end of the divvy, we permanently block them from eDivv.  We have a few security features in place to make sure they are unable to create a new accounts or trade on eDivv ever again. This is something we take VERY seriously.
3. Tracking. We make it mandatory that each divvy partner enters tracking information on eDivv for their divvy partner.  They can either purchase the shipping label directly from eDivv and the tracking will be automatically sent, or they can purchase shipping elsewhere and manually import the tracking, which will then be sent to their divvy partner.
4. “Report this Item.” Users on eDivv can help the eDivv team by clicking the “Report this Item” on any listing they see that has incorrect information or is inappropriate. The eDivv team will take a look at the listing and if it goes against our community guidelines, we will remove it.

I have a few readers and friends who think eDivv is fantastic but are doubtful with the thought of Divvying with strangers, is there any advice you would give?

The way to think about divvying with people you may not know is not that they are strangers, but your new girlfriend you haven’t met yet!  The women on eDivv are all passionate about the beauty industry and you may have a lot in common!  The ladies I have divvy’d with are so sweet.  When divvying, they are always writing cute notes and including extras in my packages!  This happens quite often, and it’s what makes eDivv such a great community.  If you are still hesitant, look for ladies who have had a number of good ratings and go from there!

There have been some changes and additions to eDivv such as purchasing shipping labels directly through the website and being able to see what products are currently considered for trade, are there any future updates members will see soon?

We are constantly making improvements thanks to the community’s feedback and are so excited for the things to come.  Soon, users will also have the ability to not only trade their products, but also to sell or buy items as well.  When you are creating a new listing, you can choose if you would like to sell the item and select a price.  This feature will be launched in the next several weeks so please keep a look out!
Well there you have it! I am super impressed with eDivv, here are a few of the divvy’s I received in the past couple months!
What do you think of eDivv? Let me know your thoughts in the comments as well as links to your shops if you’re a member!

Spring 2015 Walmart Beauty Box

If you’re a beauty lover and looking for an affordable way to try some new products, I highly recommend checking out Walmart Beauty Box!

This is a quarterly box, Walmart will send out their beauty boxes each season for $5.00 – now this is the cost of shipping, the actual box is free!

Here’s what their website says about the Beauty Box:

“Each new season brings different product needs and a reason to refresh your beauty cabinet. In your Walmart Beauty Box, you’ll find sample beauty products and tips on how to use those and other items sold at Walmart and on Walmart.com. Receiving your Walmart Beauty Box will be another reason to welcome each new season.”

There are different variations of each box, the box I got are for people under 35 or 40 I believe. So far the Fall and Winter boxes were exciting and well worth the $5.00 so I was really excited for Spring’s edition!

I find it incredible that Walmart can send so many products for only $5.00!

These are all the foil samples and coupons that came in my box. I probably won’t use the coupons but the samples will definitely be used up! I’ve been curious about the Maybelline Fit Me, this shade is probably too light but at least I’ll get an idea of what it’ll feel like on my skin!

Lady Gaga Fame Perfume – Sample Vial

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara – FULL SIZE! $8.97

I’m not too fond of perfume samples but this one smells great, I’ll probably stick it in my purse for emergencies. I’ve never used mascaras by Rimmel so I’m excited to try it out!

Essence Ultime Omega Repair and Moisture Shampoo – 1.7 oz $0.88

Essence Ultime Omega Repair and Moisture Conditioner – 1.7 oz $0.88

Dove Go Fresh Nutrium Moisture in Mandarin and Tiare Flower – 1.8 oz $0.45

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Boosters Facial Cleanser – 0.5 oz $0.42

So far each of my Walmart Beauty Boxes have included shampoo and conditioner, I don’t mind since they’re perfect sizes for travel but I do hope the Summer box has something different! I’ve heard good things about this brand so I’ll definitely use it up!

I love Dove body washes and this one smells great, it’ll be perfect for when I go out of town this summer!

The Neutrogena facial cleanser doesn’t really spark my interest but again, it’ll be perfect for when I travel!

Overall, this box was great considering I only spent $5.00 and the total value was more than $11.00! I’m sure I’ll use, or at least try out everything I got. The only downside to quarterly boxes is the wait for the next one, I’m super curious to see what Walmart will be sending out in the summer!

What do you think of the Walmart Beauty Box? You can sign up here if you’re interested!

Favorite Youtubers

Photos are from each of their Twitter or Instagram profiles

Happy Friday!

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably know I’m doing a 31 Days of Beauty Challenge. Today’s photo was to show our favorite youtubers! If you asked me a year ago, I would have said I don’t watch youtube but that all changed when I started to look up beauty reviews and tutorials. I wanted to share eight youtube channels I always keep up with, these are some of the sweetest gals I’ve seen on youtube and I wish I could be bffs with them all!

Top Column (left to right)

Amy Lynn Thompson – I love her personality and energy, she’s the gal I go to when I’m looking for nail polish reviews and her Birchbox vs Ipsy unboxings are my favorite!

Hope from Beauty and Bliss – She is super sweet and I enjoy watching her videos, whether they’re unboxings, hauls, or tutorials! Every time I see blue nail polish or makeup related item I think of Hope since she loves UK Basketball. I definitely need to start getting into sports since I’m probably the only one in Kentucky who doesn’t keep up with UK Basketball!

Kathleen Lights – I’m a huge fan of Kathleen’s videos, especially her Kat Chats, reviews, and hauls…basically any video where she talks for 20+ minutes! I love her personality and how down to earth and honest she is!

Middle Column (left to right)

Jaclyn Hill – I don’t even know what to say about Jaclyn! Personality, tutorials, hauls, everything! She is just completely awesome!

Natasha from Glamour and Glasses – I met Natasha through a beauty group we’re both in and she’s one of the kindest gals ever! I know she’s been busy with her move but I can’t wait to see more videos from her!

Bottom Column (left to right)

Jean from The Real Mom Review – Like Natasha, Jean and I met in a beauty group as well! I love watching her reviews because she does a great and honest job of explaining the pros/cons of products, and she’s super sweet!

Ashlynn from A Beauty Moment – I feel like I’m being redundant but Ashlynn is also super duper sweet! Her videos are always fun to watch and I really wish I found her channel long before I did.

Tracy & Stef of Eleventh Gorgeous – I live for their “Battle of the Boxes” and hauls! I also love their other channel, Tee and Ess! They’re super entertaining and I’m excited for the big news they’re coming out with!

There are a few other youtubers I watch but these 8 are the ones I stay up to date with! Each and every one of these gals are some of the sweetest people ever and I can’t wait to watch them all grow! I highly recommend subscribing to them all if you haven’t already!

Let me know who your favorite youtubers are in the comments below or if we share any of the same faves!

March 2015 Lip Monthly Review

Hello everyone! Lip Monthly is a subscription service I look forward to seeing each month because I love seeing what colors they choose to send out, and now that Spring is here, I was expecting some fun, brighter colors, which is exactly what they delivered!

For those who don’t know, Lip Monthly is a subscription service that costs $10/month. Each month, Lip Monthly sends you a bag full of 4-5 lip products and they sometimes include a “Monthly Mix Up” item as well! Every subscriber usually gets the same products but I have seen a couple small variations in the past.

What I love about Lip Monthly is that I get to try a bunch of lip products and brands that are new to me AND I’ve noticed most, if not all, of their products tend to be full sized!

Each bag comes with a card listing all the products that are featured that month

Onto the products
Hikari Lipstick in Crush – $13.00
Jordana Easyshine Glossy Lip Color in Raspberry – $1.99
J.Cats The Big Lip Pencil in Caramel Mocha – $3.99
I’m glad Lip Monthly sent a Hikari Lipstick again because I LOVE the one that was in the November bag. This one is a super bright pink so I don’t know if it’ll suit me but I can always pass it along to a friend!
I’ve never tried Jordana or J.Cats lippies before so I’m excited to test these out! The Jordana is also bright pink but less intense than the Hikari and the J.Cat is a super pretty nude-ish brown with a tiny bit of orange, if that makes any sense – I’ll post swatches below!
From left to right – Hikari Lipstick in Peach, Jordana’s Easyshine in Raspberry, and J.Cats Lip Pencil in Caramel Mocha
Jelly Pong Pong Supermodel Stain – $25
Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Nail Polish in Mighty Mango – $1.97
I’m not sure why I got the Jelly Pong Pong since it was from last month’s bag – and as far as I know, all subscribers only got 4 products this month. Either way, I’m curious to try out this quad because it is quite pricey and has some pretty colors!
Yay for nail polish! I’m glad the monthly mix up was a Spring friendly nail color, I’m definitely going to try this one out soon!
I really like the items in this bag, my favorite item has to be the Sally Hansen Nail Polish and J.Cats Lip Pencil! I really love the Hikari Lipstick but I’m not sure I’ll be able to pull it off.
Value of March’s Bag – $21 This is without the Jelly Pong Pong since it seems to be an extra in this bag, with it the quad, my bag ends up retailing for $46! With or without the quad, this bag has a great value for the price!
I know some folks are hesitant to try out Lip Monthly because:
  • Shipping can take forever
  • Some people get charged for next month before receiving the current month’s bag
  • Customer Service can be super slow or unresponsive
However, I really do recommend giving them a chance if you love trying new lippies! Lip Monthly is constantly improving and they do seem to be taking all comments/criticism into consideration. I’ve discovered numerous different brands and found some favorite lippies due to this sub!
Let me know your thoughts on this month’s bag or Lip Monthly in general in the comments below!

*I received this item in exchange for my honest, unbiased opinion. All opinions expressed are my own and I would not promote an item if I did not think it would spark interest to my readers.
