Jamberry Nails Review

I’ve seen tons of buzz about Jamberry Nails in the past few months but was skeptical about how long lasting they were. I’m so glad Liz contacted me a couple weeks ago and sent me a few wraps to test out and review because I can now say my skepticism is gone!

Jamberry Nails are vinyl nail wraps that can stay on your nails for up to 2 weeks and about 5-7 weeks on your toes! Here are the Jamberry Nails Liz sent me!

These are just a few of the many designs Jamberry Nails sells on their website! I decided to try on the pattern on the bottom left. Applying the wraps were much easier than I thought! I matched the pattern to the nail it would best fit, cut it in half, and used a stick to pick it up and apply heat from my hairdryer! Then I applied the wrap to my nail and pressed it down and was done!

Here are better instructions and an instructional video on how to apply Jamberry Nails!

I honestly thought the wraps wouldn’t last an entire day but they lasted well over a week! They would have lasted longer but I wanted to change up the colors for this week!

Here are pictures of how the Jamberry nails looked!

The left shows when I first applied it on my ring finger and the picture on the right shows my nails about 10 days later! They didn’t peel at all! They were easy to remove and did not damage my nails in any way!

I’m a huge fan of these nail wraps and can’t wait to buy a few sheets of different colors and patterns! I love Jamberry Nails because unlike other nail wraps I’ve tried, these last really long and don’t peel! They come in a variety of colors and designs and are super easy to apply!

If you’d like to check out and purchase some Jamberry Nails, just click here!

This was sent for review purposes, however, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

July 2014 Beauty Box 5 Review

Hello lovelies! I received my first Beauty Box 5 a few days ago and wanted to share my experience with you all!

Beauty Box 5 is a monthly beauty subscription service that delivers 5 deluxe samples and full-sized products directly to your mailbox! Each box is $12/month, but they also have quarterly and yearly subscriptions! Quarterly subscriptions are $30 and a yearly subscription is $99!

I was super curious to try this box after reading all the mixed reviews and once I saw there was a coupon code for a free box I couldn’t stop myself from ordering it!

Each box comes with a card that lists the theme of the month and all the products featured in your box! This month’s theme was defining moments!

Products I received:

Miss Jessie’s Multi Cultural Curls: 1 oz | $1.88

HASK Argan Oil Intensive Deep Conditioning Hair Treatment: 1.75 oz | $2.49

I received the Miss Jessie’s Multi Cultural Curls in a previous Birchbox and liked the product! I’ll definitely be putting this to use soon! I haven’t tried this Argan Oil Treatment before but it seems interesting! I’m always looking for new hair treatments since my hair is super thick, wavy + curly, frizzy, and hard to maintain so I was pleased to see these two products in my Beauty Box 5!

Anna’s Naturals Glowing Mama Walnut Face & Body Scrub: My jar doesn’t say how many ounces it has but the full size would be 4 oz | $10.99

Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara: $7.99

Body Drench Candy Licious Lips: $3.99

The body scrub has a great scent and I love how it’s all natural and vegan! I’ve seen this mascara being featured in multiple beauty boxes this month and have read great reviews so I can’t wait to start using it! I received the lip balm in Grape Lollipop and can’t wait to try it!

This month’s Beauty Box 5 definitely had a nice value and I will be using everything I received! This box was completely free because of the coupon code I had used! I’m tempted to keep my subscription but I will have to think about it before making a final decision.

July Beauteque BB Bag Review

Beauteque is a new beauty subscription service that recently launched. They hosted a giveaway prior to their launch and chose one winner from three social media platforms, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook! I won their Instagram giveaway!

Each winner was sent a beauty bag full of goodies! Each Beauteque Beauty Bag is $22 plus shipping. Beauteque features many international brands and each subscriber is given the ability to choose which particular product they want in their bags. For example, Beauteque lists out numerous eyeshadow pigments you can choose from plus a list of different masks each subscriber can choose from!

Each BB Bag comes with an introduction card and this month’s bag came with cute passport book that listed each product and what they do and how to use them. What I really liked was that each list showed all the different products we were able to choose from rather than limiting it to only the products we received in our BB Bag.

Here is what I received in my BB Bag!

Beauteque Mineral Eye Shimmer in Caribbean Coral $10.99

My Beauty Diary Face Masks in Strawberry Yogurt and Arbutin: $1.99 each

We were allowed to choose two face masks in this bag! I haven’t used the Arbutin yet but my mom tried out the Strawberry Yogurt and she loved it! I’m definitely putting in an order for a whole box soon!

image

Beauteque Foundation Brush: $10.50

I love how this brush has a bamboo handle and the bristles are really soft!

image

Holika Holika Dessert Time Pudding Pack in Pineapple: $0.75

I’ve never tried a pudding mask before so I’m definitely curious to see how it works!

image

A’Pieu Shea Hand Lotion in Rose: $8.99

I haven’t used this lotion yet since I have tons of opened bottles I need to finish first but this one smells great!

image

Etude House Drawing Eyebrow Pencil: $7.00

I don’t use brow pencils so I gave it to my mom!

image

This Essie Nail Polish was a bonus item for the first few people who signed up for the BB Bag when it first launched! I wasn’t expecting to get one but was super happy seeing it in my bag! I love nail polish and I love this color!
image

The value of this bag was around $41 and the price is $22 plus shipping! I definitely think it’s a great deal, especially if you like trying new brands and a mix of skincare plus makeup!

I recommend checking out Beauteque’s website! They have amazing deals going on right now with their 21 Days of Summer!

L’oreal Paris New Extraordinaire by Colour Riche Review

Allure kindly sent me a New Extraordinaire by Colour Riche from L’oreal Paris to test and review.

Here is a description of Extraordinaire by Colour Riche from L’Oréal Paris’ website
”Transform lips from ordinary to extraordinary. Color is richer, lip surface is smoother and shine is magnified. Formulated with precious micro-oils and rich color pigments, Extraordinaire provides the ideal balance of color and care for perfect lips. The unique soft-touch applicator allows for a silky-smooth, gliding application.”

Each lip color is valued at $9.99 and I was asked to choose one of three shades. I decided to be bold and choose Ruby Opera.

image

I hardly ever wear red lips so I was definitely afraid to try it out! Here is a swatch of Ruby Opera!

image

This was really easy to apply and I liked the wand applicator, I thought it was different and softer compared to other applicators I’ve used. This shade took some getting used to but I did like it way more than I expected. I received compliments and was often told the color looked great on me!

image

I also liked how smooth this lip color felt! I expected it to feel sticky but it wasn’t at all. I’m also in love with how great the color pigmented! A couple of things I did like were that it wasn’t long-lasting for me and I was told this would moisturize my lips but it didn’t.

Overall, I’m pleased with this lip color! If you’re interested in checking out other shades just click here

Uni Voxbox Review

Super excited for my Uni Voxbox!

For those of you who don’t know, Influenster is a community of consumers and trendsetters that are able to read reviews and share their insight on numerous products. The fun part is that Influenster sends out COMPLIMENTARY packages, called voxboxes, to a select number of members to test and review.

I received this complimentary voxbox in March. This voxbox contained:

  • Red Rose Real Tea Water Enhancer in Blackcurrant Raspberry
  • Acroball Pilot Pen
  • ImPRESS Manicure
  • Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation in Ivory
  • Playtex Sport Fresh Balance Tampons
  • NYC Expert Last Lip Color in Forever Fuchsia

My favorite items in this voxbox were the Rimmel Foundation, NYC Lipstick, and the Acroball Pen! I loved the other three products too but I wouldn’t go out and purchase them.

Another fun thing about Influenster is that once you review all the products and unlock each brand badge, you’re entered to win some prize packages from each brand! I was lucky and won two prizes in the past week, you can find the emails I received here!

If you’re interested in joining Influenster I can send you an invite! Just message me your email (:

Colgate Optic White Voxbox

My Optic White Voxbox from Influenster back in February! For those of you who don’t know, Influenster is a community of consumers and trendsetters that are able to read reviews and share their insight on numerous products. The fun part is that Influenster sends out COMPLIMENTARY packages, called voxboxes, to a select number of members to test and review.

I received a complimentary Colgate Optic White Toothbrush + Whitening Pen and Optic White Toothpaste from Influenster for testing and reviewing purposes.

I think the toothbrush with the whitening pen is super convenient because it’s really easy and quick to apply and actually works much better than I thought it would! I have crazy sensitive teeth so I won’t be buying another one for now.

However, I’m a huge fan of the toothpaste! I bought a full sized one after I used up the one I received from Influenster. I noticed my teeth had gotten significantly whiter within the first week of using it!

If you’re interested in joining influenster just send me your email and I’d be happy to send you an invite!
