Argh – this post was supposed to publish over a week ago – not sure what happened! A belated Mother’s Day gift won’t hurt right?

Anyways –

Chococurb is a monthly subscription service that introduces extraordinary chocolate to its customers! Along with a monthly sub, Chococurb also has their own online shop where you can purchase individual pieces of chocolate that are featured in their boxes.

Chococurb was kind enough to send their May Chococurb Mini for review purposes. The Chococurb Mini features three pieces of artisan chocolate for $20/month on a monthly basis, $19/month for a three month subscription, and $18/month for a six month sub!

Chococurb also has a larger box you can subscribe to – you can check out one of my reviews here!

Chococurb Mini would be perfect for yourself or even to gift for Mother’s Day! Three pieces of high quality chocolate wrapped up in a box would be a great surprise for any chocolate lovers.
I don’t have a photo of the inside of the box this time around since things had gotten a tiny bit messy and I ended up destroying the whole box. The three chocolate bars were wrapped in a silver bubble mailer  and had plastic ice package – which was water by the time it reached me – and leaked and got over the entire box. Thankfully, this didn’t affect any of the chocolate since it was sealed tight in another package!
Each Chococurb Mini includes a card describing the box.
This month, I received the following pieces of chocolate
ECI Congo Coffee and Cream Milk Chocolate – $5
The sun is rising in the Democratic Republic of Congo after years of conflict and violence. In Eastern Congo, Theo Chocolate, Caffe Vita and Eastern Congo Initiative have teamed up with Congolese cocoa and coffee farmers to make this deliciously creamy chocolate bar. The cocoa, coffee and vanilla in this chocolate are all from Eastern Congo. When you purchase our Coffee & Cream bar, not only are you making a delicious choice, you are directly impacting the lives of farmers in Eastern Congo by supporting true fair trade. A portion of the purchase price from the sale of every bar will benefit Eastern Congo Initiative. Learn more about our partnership with ECI
The black fig pistachio bar is made with dried black California mission figs and whole roasted California pistachios. The black figs are lusciously sweet and provide a complex texture that combines chewy flesh, smooth skin, and crunchy seeds. The pistachios add a light crunch and nutty complement to the fruit and dark chocolate.
Popaholics can create their own chocolatey goodness by simply stirring our Hot Chocolate on a Stick into a cup of steamed milk. Made with a premium blend of the finest, all natural chocolate, it’s available in Dark Chocolate, Milk Chocolate, and Vanilla Chocolate.
So far I have only tried the ECI Bar and love it! I’m positive the other two are delicious as well. I love the variety included in this box, especially considering these aren’t products I would find in normal stores I go to, nor would I even think about trying to find chocolates like these.
Chococurb helps me discover brands I’ve never heard of before and I’m positive any chocolate lover would appreciate this subscription!
