ColourPop Blotted and Ultra Blotted Lips | First Impressions and Giveaway

ColourPop recently launched more of their Blotted Lips along with a brand new formula – Ultra Blotted Lips! These two formulas are meant to go hand in hand with the “no makeup” makeup trend.

ColourPop launched 8 new shades of their Blotted Lips and 8 shades of their Ultra Blotted Lips and I of course had to have them all in my collection! Below you’ll find my first impressions, swatches, along with a ColourPop giveaway. I purchased a few ColourPop goodies for one lucky reader – the prizes will remain a mystery but I may or may not be giving hints on Instagram. *wink wink, nudge nudge*

ColourPop Blotted and Ultra Blotted Lips

ColourPop is currently offering free International shipping on orders $30+ (Domestic shipping is always free on orders $30+) so I would definitely take advantage of this limited time offer if there’s something you’ve been eyeing!

Let’s talk about the formula and cost:

The Blotted Lips cost $5 a piece and provide a more weightless, diffused, natural look. Ultra Blotted Lips, on the other hand, are $6 a piece and a less intense version of the Ultra Matte Lips. Meaning, they do have that lightweight formula but they are transfer proof and dry down to a completely comfortable matte finish. Since both formulas are so lightweight and natural, some are shades are patchy which is why I like to wear a lip liner underneath them, especially under the Ultra Blotted Lips.

ColourPop Blotted Lips

I LOVE the packaging of the Blotted Lips! They hold one gram of product, similar to their Lippie Stix, however, the tubes of the Blotted Lips are shorter and a bit chubbier. Like I mentioned above, the formula of these are lightweight so you can wear one layer to give a tinted balm look or build it up for more intensity.

ColourPop Blotted Lips Swatches

These swatches are two layers of the Blotted Lips. I love the range of shades as there are shades that flatter all skin tones from fair to deep! The blotted lips are somewhat moisturizing and they’re perfect for daily use. I keep Ice Cube and On A Stick in my makeup bag!

Let’s take a look at their newest formula – the Ultra Blotted Lips – a new obsession of mine!

ColourPop Ultra Blotted Lips

These Ultra Blotted Lips come in the same packaging as the UML’s, USL’s, and UGL’s with 3 grams of product. I was really intrigued with these because liquid lipsticks with a more natural, lightweight formula that dry completely matte and are uber comfortable?? Yes please!

ColourPop Ultra Blotted Lips Swatches

These swatches are also two layers of product. Waiting for the first layer to dry before heading in with a second coat works best for you can see my impatience got the best of me with the last two shades.

I am OBSESSED with Doozy! I think it compliments my olive/tan skin so well – it’s the perfect day to day shade! So far – besides Doozy – I’ve worn Bit O Sunny, Slide, and Out of Beach. The formulas are consistent for those four shades and the longevity is amazing! I ate so much greasy food this past weekend and not once did I have to touch up. Doozy, specifically, lasted more than 10 hours without any issues, and I didn’t even use a lip liner underneath it. Needless to say, I am impressed with these Ultra Blotted Lips so far!

Now let’s talk about the giveaway!

This giveaway is not sponsored by ColourPop, all products are purchased by me, myself, and I. Giveaway will begin 4/24/17 and will end 5/9/2017. Candy Floss and Drip look so lovely! I also really like Zuma and Sucker because they remind me of shades that Holland Roden’s character Lydia would wear in Teen Wolf.

    May 7, 2017 / 7:57 pm

OH MY GOODNESS. But Colourpop is always killing it. They’re quality far surpasses the price. $5 for liquid lipsticks that aren’t tacky, cracky or non pigmented. $5 for pigmented, smooth, and true to color pressed and super shock shadows. They’re formula is incredible and the price is great for people on a budget. AND NOW THEY HAVE ALL THESE GREAT DEALS. 💄💜

    • Priyanka
      May 8, 2017 / 2:48 pm

Right?! They’re always bringing new things left and right! Agreed! I know the reason they have such an affordable price with the lippies is that the amount of product is much less than other brands but when do we ever go through whole lippies anyways?!

      • Catherine
        May 8, 2017 / 9:39 pm

EXACTLY! I mean I’m all about saving money but the quality is worth so much more haha and yeah I haven’t actually gone through a whole lippie before yet or eyeshadow I don’t usually use them everyday (I get lazy haha)
