This weekend I tested out quite a few beauty products that I’ve been dying to try. Some of these are cult favorites, others have mixed impressions by the beauty community, and some are products that really haven’t been talked about much.

I have a video on my IGTV that’s a compilation of my stories from when I shared check ins throughout the day, you can see it here!
Let’s jump right in to the products I used for the first time to create this look:
I mentioned in my stories I already had a full face of makeup on since I went to an event earlier in the morning so it was a perfect opportunity to try out these makeup wipes I received in my October Beauteque Box!
These wipes felt very moisturizing and did not irritate my sensitive skin. One wipe took off ALL my makeup – the wipes are concentrated to the right amount where it’s not dripping with excess product and doesn’t dry out before you’re completely done.
I’ve been curious about this foundation after all the hype over their concealer. I used a beauty blender to apply it (shade F10 – not a perfect match but F9, F11, and F12 they sent were far off) and I enjoyed how easy it blended out. Moreover, it made my skin look flawless after I applied one semi-thin layer. It truly is full coverage, it covered all my redness and acne scars! What else impressed me was how my skin did not get oily. My t-zone gets oily super quick but I did not have to blot once with this foundation!
However, as time went on, I noticed this foundation accentuated all the texture on my skin. By the end of the day, I was cringing looking at my forehead and cheeks, you could see every tiny flaw.
I do want to give this foundation another shot – maybe I need to set it with a different powder to solve the texture issue. I’ll keep you all updated if I find a better technique!
I have been DYING to try this concealer for the longest time. There is so much positive hype behind this and after trying it, I can see why! I used my beauty blender to blend out this concealer (shade C11) and it blended out flawlessly. It’s full coverage and I love that it does not feel heavy on the skin.
This did crease on me but every concealer I own creases on me. Also, I love how affordable it is, $7 for the OG size and a couple more dollars for the super size!
I’ve had this on my wish list ever since it came out and I’m so glad to own it! I use the OG Translucent Setting Powder to set my entire face except my cheekbones – where I applied the Glow Powder. The great thing about this powder is that it sets your makeup as well as adds a flawless glow. What I love is that the powder is so finely milled that the glow does not look chunky or heavy on the skin at all. It gives a natural, luminous glow and I am hooked!
I rarely purchase high end brushes – I can’t justify the price point considering there are so many affordable options on the market that I reach for often. This brush however, I was instantly hooked onto when Maddie, the make-up artist at Laura Mercier in Dillards used it on me. It fits perfectly onto my cheekbones and makes applying the Glow Powder super easy to apply!
Uncuffed is the shade I had been eying since the Fall collection launched. The applicator is uniquely shaped and it gives me a easy, precise application. The formula is very liquidy and long wearing but it is not transferproof. After trying Uncuffed, I am hoping to order more shades soon!
Laura Mercier released a holiday collection featuring 4 shades (top to bottom from swatches – Moonlight, Rose Gold, Au Naturel, and Amethyst) in mini sizes – the Shadows and Brights Metallic Caviar Sticks Collection. Maddie actually created a look with the entire set when I went to purchase this and I was so impressed with how easily you can create a stunning look with the four shades in this collection!
These caviar sticks are insanely long wearing, I had my eye makeup on for over 12 hours and it did not crease or fade at all.
Mascara is something I’ve been experimenting with more the last few months. This one is designed to sculpt and lengthen your lashes and it exceeded in both departments. I got quite a few compliments throughout the day about my lashes!
This spray claims to plump and hydrate the skin and although I didn’t notice it do either of those, I will say it seemed to hold my makeup together pretty well. I do want to see how it works with other foundations.
Those are products I tried out this week – have you tried any of these? I’d love to hear your experience! Let me know what products you’ve tried out recently.
