LuxePineapple Baked Shadow Trios – Review And Swatches!

Hello beauties! LuxePineapple came out with their own line of baked shadow trios a few weeks ago and I bought them all when they were testing out a new feature on their website!

I knew I had to get these once I saw swatches and great reviews from other Pinapple Lovelies! Plus, they are perfect for travelling – I am heading off to California in a few weeks and decided these are the only shadows I will be taking with with me.

LuxePineapple has great deals on beauty products, super low shipping costs, excellent customer service, and amazing un-subscription boxes of joy! Also, the owner of LuxePineapple, Liz, is a total sweetheart – I adore her so much!
About The LuxePineapple Baked Shadow Trios
There are five trios – Honolulu, Amalfi, Barcelona, Malibu, and Nantucket! Each trio contains 2g/0.07 oz product and are made in the USA.
These baked eyeshadow trios are paraben free and are rich in antioxidants like vitamin E, green tea, chamomile, and ginkgo biloba! They can be worn as they are, wet, or over primer! I, personally, have been wearing them over Too Faced Shadow Insurance.
Here is a description and ingredient list from LuxePineapple’s website!
Get some glamour in your life! We love these easy-to-blend Baked Eyeshadow Trios. Our baked formulation allows color to go on smoothly, and blend with ease. Use without primer for a pretty wash of color. Use with a primer (or concealer) for a bolder pop of color!
Ingredients:  Talc, Mica, Triisosterin,  Octyldodecanol, Dimethicone, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Caprylyl Glycol, Sorbic Acid, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, PanaxGinseng Root Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Camellia Oleifera Leaf Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract, Disodium Edta, Tocopheryl Acetate, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Silica, Tin Oxide.

Packaging
I think the black and clear packaging is super pretty! It’s not super chunky or anything and I love the simplicity of the logo on the front and name and ingredients on the back. I don’t think it will break anytime soon unless you end up being really rough with it.
Application
There was a tiny bit of a mess when applying these, some excess product falls around the edges of the packaging sometimes but other than that, applying these are really easy and I haven’t had an issue with fall out on my face thus far!
Pigmentation and Texture

The pigmentation of these shadows are out of this world! They are super buttery and easily blendable. As a matte girl, I was never into shimmery eyeshadows but I have been using these shadows every day since I got them! I use my Too Faced Eye Shadow Insurance under these and the shadow doesn’t budge or crease and it lasts all day for me.
Swatches
Note: These swatches are one layer and without primer.
Honolulu is the trio that was in their Beach Babe Box of Joy and I am so happy they released it on its own because the colors are GORGEOUS! This trio has a gold, copper, and chocolate brown. These are the types of colors I have been addicted to lately
This trio is SO pretty! I think the white would be great for inner corners and the purple and coral/orange would be fun pops of color on the lower lash line!

Amalfi is the trio I have been using on a daily basis, along with Honolulu sometimes, and I cannot get enough! It comes with a beige/tan/white gold. I’m sad the swatch doesn’t do this trio justice but it is definitely my second favorite out of the five!

Malibu has a darker purple, sky blue, and a white! This white is different from the white in Barcelona – the one in Barcelona is more of an off white but this one is more of a true white..does that make sense? I hope it does. I don’t think I will reach for this trio often but it will be fun to use to add pops of color when I go out! I’m thinking of applying them wet on my lower lash line to get a more intense color.
This trio has a forest green, a brown, and a white gold – more white gold than the one in Amalfi, the one in Amalfi is more bronzey. I like this trio because I find the green to be more wearable than other green eyeshadows I have tried in the past.
Overall Thoughts
I am a huge fan of these baked shadow trios. I love the variety of colors and although three of the five trios have a brown in them, they are all different! The one in Honolulu is the darkest while the one in Amalfi has more bronzeyness to it and the one in Nantucket is a bit lighter than the the one in Honolulu.
For me, most of the colors are wearable while the bolder colors will be fun to experiment with and use for pops of color! I’m curious to know if LuxePineapple  plans on coming out with more trios in the future as well as other beauty products!
I recall Liz saying she strives for perfection when creating and formulating LuxePineapple’s products and I think her dedication is truly evident with the amazing quality of the products I have tried so far!

Does Liz formulate the LuxePineapple makeup herself or are they branded private label? Just curious. Loved the swatches on those shadows. They look very pigmented. And the trios are interesting shades. Very nice.

Thank you!! I really haven't used eyeshadows as pigmented and buttery as these before. I'm not entirely sure but I believe she tests out the products until she feels the formulation is perfect!
