I love being a social media influencer. I’ve been giving my opinions and reviewing products and brands, mostly beauty related, for almost 4 years now! I feel like I can now start to offer advice, tips, trick – whatever you may call it to others who’d like to be an influencer and/or grow as one.
One perk of being an influencer is receiving complimentary products from various brands and companies. There are different ways to receive products to review but the one I’ll be talking about in this post includes third party companies that connect influencers to brands and vice versa. There are tons of platforms that offer services like this and I have tested out quite a few of them. Below I’ll be listing the four I’ve had the most success with. While my niche is beauty, all four of these offer products for fashion, fitness, health, and lifestyle influencers as well.
Before I get into these platforms, I just want to make it clear that I’m not here to tell you to become a half ass influencer to get free things. That is NOT the point of me sharing my experiences with you.
The palette that so many people have been waiting for is finally here! Morphe Brushes and Jaclyn Hill teamed up again to bring us a palette full of 35 shades created by the ever so beautiful and one of my personal favorites, Jaclyn Hill! Jaclyn had full creative control in this project and from the packaging to the shades to the formula, it’s clear she poured her heart and soul into this palette.
The only other Morphe Palettes I own are the two collabs with Jaclyn Hill and Kathleen Lights, both which I adore greatly. From the few days I’ve tested this particular palette, I can for sure say I will be using this frequently. I’ll go into detail below but if you’re here for the giveaway, scroll completely down – the Rafflecopter widget will be at the end of this post.

Alright beauties, this is a long overdue review. I mean..I’ve used up 3 of these Urban Decay Naked Skin One and Done Hybrid Complexion Perfectors (my god this is a mouthful!) already and am well onto finishing up my fourth bottle. So yes, it’s about darn time I reviewed this product!
I had been using Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Ultra Definition Liquid Foundation before I saw this hit the shelves and did enjoy it but somedays I found it leaving my skin a tad bit oily. That didn’t stop me from using 2 whole bottles though! Fast forward to when this particular product hit the shelves. I was so intrigued because it stated it was a skin treatment that provided the effects of a sheer foundation. It’s also meant to blur imperfections, even skin tone, and be a long lasting – all day wear.
I’ve tried dozens and dozens of foundations and I always rely on this one for daily wear. Why? Because it does exactly what it’s meant to do.
A full makeup line of products inspired by our favorite stories? Now that is a major dream come true for me! I’m a huge bookworm so when I saw Storybook Cosmetics announce they had big plans with collabs and products, I constantly stalked their Instagram account. They first launched a set of wand shaped makeup brushes which I was lucky to grab in the first release. Then they announced they were working on this palette that I’m about to review for you all! I was so happy to preorder and although shipping commenced a few months after preordered, it was well worth the wait!
In this digital age, it is crucial for all of us creators to network and learn. Plus, consistent growth is important as well, especially if you’re blog or youtube channel is one of your main sources of income. Facebook Groups allow us, in all niches, to do all three!
Below I’ll go into more detail about how FB groups will aid in growth, networking, and learning. If you’re a fellow beauty influencer (with a blog, youtube, or beauty related iG – I’m not just talking makeup), I’d love to have you in Beauty Influencer Community!
Beauty Influencer Community is a Facebook Group created by yours truly! The purpose of this group is to allow creators to grow in the platform(s) they choose to showcase, share any content they’ve created, and learn from each other’s experiences!

I read numerous posts with a similar title prior to starting Glamour and Giggles and after several years of blogging, I think I can share my experiences and what worked best in my scenario that will help you start your own blog.
First thing first, creating a blog is a process, and quite a lengthy one if you’re incredibly detailed oriented and picky like me so don’t expect to have one created and ready to go within a day or two. Below I’ll list 6 steps to start a blog and my experience going through each step.
Note: These steps aren’t specific to creating a beauty blog. My goal is to help every person out there who wants to start a blog, no matter what your niche is!
Liquid lipsticks are one of my favorite beauty products, I have hundreds and will definitely own hundreds more. So naturally, when Lady Burgundy came out with their new line of Matte Lip Creams, I was beyond ecstatic!
Lady Burgundy started off as a beauty, fashion, and lifestyle blog several years ago and since then has created their own line of cosmetics. These lip creams have been in the making for two years and are created with quality ingredients and are home made in Canada. Plus, these babies are cruelty free, always a plus in my book!
Disclaimer: I was sent these lip creams free of charge. This post is not sponsored and there are no referral/affiliate links. As always, all opinions are 100% mine.
