Happy Friday friends! What better way to kick off the weekend than learning about two easy peasy ways to earn extra cash and gift cards?! If you’ve been following me for quite some time, you won’t be surprised with the two websites I’m about to share. These are methods I’ve used for YEARS and they have been so great for my wallet!
Some of you may have seen posts like this before and wondered if they’re actually work or not and I am so positive they will work for you if you give them a chance. It’s important to remember what you gain depends on the amount of time you put in. For example, using these method once a month isn’t going to help much BUT you don’t need to be putting in hours and hours worth of time daily either.
Beauty on a budget is incredibly important to me, nothing makes me happier than hauling makeup without breaking the bank! There are only a handful of brands I follow that truly provide beauty products at an affordable price without compromising quality. e.l.f. Cosmetics is one of those brands and I thought I’d share a few products I would 100% recommend to you!

Welcome to another edition of Small Shop Spotlight! If you’re new to this series, check out the introduction post here! Today we are back with a beauty brand I’ve been fond of for quite some time, Makeup By DNA!. I first discovered them on Instagram when they created dupes for the Kylie Cosmetics Liquid Lipsticks.
The creators behind Makeup By DNA, Danielle and Anthony, were kind enough to take some time and answer a few questions for us! Let’s dig right in and get to know them and their brand a bit more. PS: Be sure to check out other editions of Small Shop Spotlight here!
Instagram used to be my favorite social media platform but the algorithm and other recent updates lately have made using it incredibly frustrating. Earlier in the year, I thought I was the only one feeling like engagement had gone down but a few friends had mentioned they saw a stunt in engagement as well. Fast forward to end of Spring, engagement became worse and growth almost nonexistent. At first I thought, what in the world did I do? I was posting consistently and I thought the quality of my photos were pretty darn good for someone who had 0 experience with photography.
Fortunately (and unfortunately) lack in growth and engagement was an issue for nearly 90% of the people I followed as well as others I’ve seen in different niches. It sucks but rather than moping around (okay I still do this LOL) I began to do TONS of research. After months and months of reading articles and talking to dozens of Instagrammers, I think I can offer a few tips on how grow and build a loyal audience.
Similar to what I did in my post about Do’s and Don’ts of Brand Pitches, I asked several fellow influencers to give me their opinion on this topic.
Welcome to the first installment of Small Shop Spotlight, today we’ll be getting to know the creator of Lady Burgundy! As some of you may know, I am very passionate about small shops and supporting them. It’s so inspiring to see individuals follow their dreams and start their own business. Over the past couple of years, I’ve been fortunate enough to get to know and work with a number of indie brands and to bring this blog series to life makes me so happy!
Today is National Lipstick Day and I couldn’t have thought of a better brand to start off with than Lady Burgundy! Plus, they recently released some brand new liquid lipsticks, so I’ll be sharing some swatches of those as well!
If you saw my introduction to this series a few weeks ago, feel free to scroll down a bit. If not – here’s a little rundown of what you can expect to see! I’ll be interviewing the creators behind the indie brands/small shops and showcasing their products. It’ll be great way for you to get to know some amazing ladies sand gents as well as find some new products to snag!

Hi loves! Grab a snack or some bubbly because this is going to be a long one.
I am so excited to be writing this post because, if you asked me a few years ago, it’s something I never thought I would have the experience and knowledge to write. I wasn’t always a makeup enthusiast, in fact I started wearing makeup when I was about 19 or 20..and that wasn’t even a full face – just basic foundation, a little eyeliner, and some gloss. Ever since then, I began to do more and more research and spent countless hours watching beauty gurus on youtube and reading dozens of beauty blogs. A little over 5 years later, here I am ready to give beauty beginners some information I wish I had when I first started.
As I dove deeper into the beauty realm, many of my friends and family members would ask me questions about makeup – what foundation to use, what’s a highlighter, what’s the difference between matte and sheer, what do these products even do, etc. The fact that I was able to answer all their questions confidently made me realize it wouldn’t hurt to give my thoughts here on my blog.
This will be the first of a three-part series! As I mentioned above, this post will contain information on makeup products and what they are/do. The next series will do with the best places to shop for makeup, and the last part will do with specific product recommendations!
One of the perks of being a blogger, influencer, youtuber, etc. is having the opportunity to work with brands we’ve always adored! If you’re lucky, they’ll contact you directly but often times creators like ourselves will take the first step and pitch to brands in hopes of starting a wonderful relationship.
This post has been one of the most highly requested topics and the main reason I held off on posting is that I didn’t think I could give you the best advice and tips..until now that is! Instead of telling you exactly how to pitch to brands, I’ve collaborated with several beauty influencers and bloggers to give you the biggest things you should and should not do when it comes to contacting brands.
