Walmart Beauty Box Review | Spring 2017

My Spring Walmart Beauty Box  arrived this week and I have to say I am impressed! For $5 a box, you can’t really expect a whole lot but this season’s box was jam packed full of goodies.

The Walmart Beauty Box  is a quarterly subscription service that provides full and sample size beauty products and coupons. All you pay is a $5 shipping charge and you get a box full of goodies delivered straight to your doorstep! This subscription is available to US residents only.

Spring 2017 Walmart Beauty Box

This service isn’t fully customizable like other beauty boxes. There are two different curated boxes each season and the one you get depends on your age. Subscribers under the age of 35 will receive the “Trendsetter” box and those 35+ will receive the “Classic” box.

Something different did occur this season, however. I received an email about two weeks ago asking if I wanted to opt in for their first themed box, the theme being “Me Moment”, which I did.  After browsing Instagram and My Subscription Addiction – I noticed this themed box was a mixture of the Trendsetter and Classic boxes minus a couple products.

I am so thrilled to be sharing this collection with you all today! If you’ve been keeping up to date with me for a while, you probably know LuxePineapple is one of my favorite companies – not only for their high quality at low cost products but also for the extraordinary team behind it.

UPDATE! LuxePineapple is having a flash sale today only – December 1st – use coupon code “GIVINGTUESDAY” to get 30% off this collection – it will make this about $29!

This JOY Holiday Collection features 5 full sized LuxePineapple beauty products as well as three Timeless Truth skincare items! The retail value of all the products combined is $117 but you can purchase this collection for $42.50! I’m not positive if this will work but if you are new to LuxePineapple, you can try using this link to sign up for their email list which will give you a $2.50 off coupon! Shipping is free in the US and a flat rate of $6 to Canada. International shipping is also available but you will need to contact LuxePineapple to get a quote.

I am in love with the packaging, it’s totally festive and ready to place under a christmas tree! All the products are packed inside a pink box and wrapped in tissue paper with a LuxePineapple sticker on top.
Here’s a quick photo of what you will expect to see on the inside of the box. Three products wrapped in tissue paper, the glosses and serum on top, and below everything are two sheet masks!
I am really loving the information card, it’s simple, sleek, and elegant! And it also has my blog logo, how cool is that! Let’s jump right into the products!

TT Bio Cellulose Hydra-Soothing Moisturizing Mask, infuses moisturizing, nourishing and protective extracts into the skin. The Bio-Cellulose Nanoscopic Fibre cloth allows for a deeper penetration of the intense serum, maximizing its effect.
Rich in Hyalo-Oligo, Hyaluronic Acid and Hydrolised Hyaulorinic Acid, this mask helps moisten dry skin and can improve the signs of fine lines and wrinkles.
Infused with active ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid, Ceramide, Algae Extract, Glacier Extract and Baobab Extract, to create a powerful and intensive moisturizing treatment. This Concentrated hydration formula enables your skin to stay plump and supple for the whole day.
Timeless Truth is completely new to me but I knew I was going to love it when Liz described it while we were deciding what products to include in this collection. I’ve been using the serum for a couple of weeks now along with the sheet masks. I will be making a whole separate post reviewing both of these products but I can definitely tell you that I am impressed with the results of both! I’m a gal that suffers from flakey skin on the sides of my mouth, cheeks, and chin but I haven’t had any issues since incorporating both into my skincare routine!

LuxePineapple Eyeshadow in Enchant – $10

LuxePineapple Blush in Winter Rose – $15

LuxePineapple Eyeshadow in Mystique – $10
I love that LuxePineapple is expanding their cosmetics line! These eyeshadows are pigmented and creamy – I’ll have swatches below! I chose these two shades to create fun holiday looks and I have to say that I love using Mystique in my lower lash line! I was really pumped about including a blush in this collection because it added more of a comprehensive makeup look! Liz chose the shade to match the eyeshadows and I am loving it! I think it’s perfect for the winter and I know I’ll be using it often!

LuxePineapple Lip Gloss in Regal – $15

LuxePineapple Lip Gloss in Sweetheart – $15
I decided to choose a nude shade as well as a red (with glitters!) that could be worn to look subtle on its own or bold with a dark lipliner underneath. I think these shades would look great with lots of different skin tones and both shades can be worn with different lipliners to create many unique looks.

Swatches of all the cosmetics! From left to right: Sweetheart, Regal, Enchant, Mystique, and Winter Rose.
This collection definitely has a special place in my heart since I was able to collaborate with a great company like LuxePineapple! This whole process was super fun and challenging at times as well. I know the price is high for many of you but I would really appreciate if you took a moment to check out the collection here on the LuxePineapple website! While you’re there, be sure to check out their other products and holiday collections!
I hope you enjoyed this LuxePineapple and Glamour and Giggles Collaboration! Let me know your thoughts on the Limited Edition JOY Holiday Collection below!

MemeBox Fall/Winter 2015 Makeup Trend Box Unboxing

 Hello hello hello!

I hope all of you are doing wonderful! The K Beauty fanatic in me is thrilled for this unboxing because I have been wanting to try MemeBox for so long and I finally ordered a box last week!

For those of you unfamiliar with Memebox, it is basically a website that sells the latest products in Korean Beauty and they also sell curated boxes! Shipping is free on orders 30+ and they currently only ship to the US, China, and Korea I believe.

The box I ordered is the Fall/Winter 2015 Makeup Trend Box and costs $33 + free shipping. This box includes 6 full size and 1 deluxe sample size products! Here’s a description from their website:

New season means new makeup looks. Rock the chillest makeup trends from F/W 2015 runways- metallic eyeshadows, smoky eyes, winged eyeliners, red lips, berry lips, and more! This box is packed with products that will keep your makeup on point during the colder months.

The products are packaged in a pink box full of pink tissue paper which totally screams my name. The first thing I saw was the information card, which has a lot of detail – thank you MemeBox!

I honestly had no idea what was going into be included in this box, I saw Fall/Winter Trends and immediately bought it. I mean, how can it possibly be bad box?! Fall and Winter are my favorite seasons for beauty so I know I was bound to be satisfied!
3 eyeshadows, 2 lippies, 1 eyeliner, and makeup remover?! Yes please!
Let’s get onto looking at the products individually! (All descriptions are straight from MemeBox’s website)
Nooni Snowflake Cleanser Deluxe Sample
Clear skin is one thing that will never go out of trend. What’s more important than putting on makeup? Taking it off well. A good, thorough cleanse can really improve the texture of your skin, allowing your makeup to go on effortlessly the following day. Try XO Memebox’s newest skincare product, Nooni Snowflake Cleanser. This magical sherbet melts into an oil type cleanser as you massage to dissolve all oil-based impurities and stubborn makeup, even waterproof. Formulated with precious water from Jeju Island to replenish your skin cells with Oxygen to restore elasticity and vitality.
How to use: 1) Scoop out a pearl-sized amount. 2) Gently massage against the skin. Make sure your hands and face are dry. 3) Massage once more with wet hands to emulsify the oil. 4) Rinse off with lukewarm water.
Basics Liquid Eyeliner #02 Brown Pumps ($10 value)
Barely there’ baby wings all the way to super thick dramatic wings, cat eyes ruled the runways as usual. Winged eyeliners add an instant glamour and attitude to one’s look. The cat eye look is such a staple in big cities like Paris, Tokyo, New York, and Seoul. Koreans love using brown eyeliners to enhance the shape of their eyes while keeping it natural. Korea’s Next Top Model winner Jungsun designed this soft pigment, precise felt-tip brown eyeliner inspired by a sexy pair of pumps, one of her wardrobe essentials.
Get the look: Fill in your lash line. At the outer end of your eyes, draw a flick toward the end of your eyebrow. Make it longer or thicker depending on your preference!
I’ve heard amazing things about the Snowflake Cleanser recently and am super excited to try it out! I just ran out of my Banila Balm Cleanser and really liked that one so I’m interested to see how this one compares.
Eyeliner is one of my favorite beauty products apart from lippies! This brown shade isn’t super light nor is it intense. I have swatches of it at the end of this post but I can say the pigmentation is just right for my needs. I find the tip really easy to create wings!
I’m Eyeshadow #PG305 Gloria Gold ($12 value)
Tis’ the season for all things that glitter. Achieve mesmerizing eye makeup with I’m Eyeshadow #PG305 Gloria Gold, a gorgeous multi-faceted gold shade. I’m Eyeshadows are formulated with Sebum Control Powder that allows them to apply buttery smooth, saturating the eyes with rich pigmentation that lasts all day.
Get the look: Pack on the gold eyeshadow on your makeup brush. Spritz some water or setting spray to allow more intense color payoff.
I’m Eyeshadow #PB307 Nikita Gray ($12 value), #PS303 Deep Blue Sea ($12 value)
Smoky eyes are always in, especially for fall and winter. We picked some of our favorite cool-toned shades that can really make your eyes pop.
Get the look: Try using a subtle grey for a natural daytime smoky eye makeup. Or pack on some of the midnight blue shade for mystical aura.
I LOVE the packaging for these eyeshadows, they feel really luxurious compared to other eyeshadow singles I’ve purchased in the past. These three shades are perfect to create looks with in the upcoming months! I think my favorite has to be the Deep Blue Sea in the middle – but the Gloria Gold and Nikita Gray are gorgeous as well!
I’m Lip Liquid #RD600($16 value)
Red lips are oh so chic. A pop of bright color on the lips instantly dresses up an outfit and brightens up the complexion. Try our best-selling lip liquid shade #RD600, a deep red with blue undertone.
Get the look: For gradient lips, dot the color onto the center of the lips then lightly blend the color outwards with your fingertip for an ombre effect. For bold red lips, line your lips and fill in until desired vividness is achieved.
I’m Lipstick #MT009 Jack Rose ($16 value)
Berry lips are in this season. It comes in a huge variety of shades, from bright strawberry shade to the deepest blackberry. Try our best-selling lipstick shade Jack Rose, a rich purple.
Get the look: You’ll only need one coat as it’s super pigmented. To get matte finish, gently place a tissue over your lips and apply powder with a fluffy powder brush.
I am SO happy MemeBox included a berry shade as well as a red! These two are my favorites to wear in the Fall and Winter! They are both super pigmented and going to be used soon. The packaging for both = A+!
Here are swatches of the eyeliner, lippies, and eyeshadows! I was expecting the gold eyeshadow to be a bit more pigmented but I’ll be able to build it up for a more intense look. The Deep Blue Sea and Jack Rose are definitely my favorites but there isn’t anything I dislike in this box!
Overall Thoughts
My expectations for this box were simply to have products I could use for the next few months. I didn’t (but should have) read the list of products included in this specific box before purchasing it but nevertheless, I was really really happy with everything included (which rarely happens with curated boxes). I am also impressed with the quality of the beauty products! I’m definitely going to have to control myself when it comes to MemeBox – there are already a few products and other boxes I want!

Glamour Collection Unboxing | My Collab With Beauteque!

Happy Monday!!

Usually Mondays are bleh but I am so pumped for today since the collection I curated with Beauteque is on sale!

Beauteque had a competition a few months back where 3 bloggers were chosen to curate their own collection! The winners were Michele from Unboxing Beauty, Kristen from Newly Minted, and yours truly! I am SO thankful Beauteque allowed me to create this collection – it was such a fun experience and I will never forget it!

Let’s unbox this collection first and I’ll share more about my experience at the end!

What Is The Glamour Collection?

The Glamour Collection features 5 full sized products to create a glamorous look as well as prep your skin before and after applying makeup! Glamour can be interpreted in so many different ways but in my comfort zone, a glamorous look entails a soft eyeshadow/face look with bold eyeliner and lips!

(Can we please take a minute to appreciate how simple yet beautiful the artwork on the card is?! I LOVE IT!)
Along with the 5 products, this collection comes with an information card detailing all the products included!

Availability and Cost
This collection is available in the US as well as internationally! Shipping depends on where you live but from past experience with Beauteque, I am guessing shipping will be $3-$5 depending where you live in the US.
Products Included
It’s Skin Professional Fix Gel Liner in 01 Black – $13.99
For me, personally, an eyeliner is something I can’t live without! I find that gel liner works the best when I want to get a really nice, precise cat eye or something more natural. This wasn’t my first pick – the liner I wanted couldn’t be sourced – but it was a great alternative! It’s Skin is brand I have been loving recently and this liner doesn’t flake on me nor and it has really nice lasting power! You will either get this eyeliner or a Holika Holika Jewel Light Gel Liner in Brown!
A’Pieu Soochaibit Finger Blusher in Coral 02 – $12.99
I was trying to figure out if I wanted to add a blush or a lippie to collection and I decided to go with a blush since the lipstick I wanted couldn’t be sourced. I have swatches of this finger blusher below, but right off the bat, I can tell you that this is subtle and natural looking on my skin! Don’t worry if coral isn’t your color, you will be able to choose between this, a pink blusher, or a highlighter!
Etude House Look at My Eyes Shadow in BR405 – $9.50
When I think of glamour, I think of a natural or neutral eye shadow paired with an intense eyeliner look and bold lips! I think this Etude House Shadow is a perfect all over color for the lid and can be paired with other colors to create diverse, beautiful looks!
From left to right: eyeshadow, blusher, eyeliner

FaceQ Aloe Moisturizing and Soothing Sheet Mask – $1.90
I’m not going to lie, the first thing I wanted to add to this collection was a sheet mask! I chose aloe because it maintains moisture and reduces irritation. One of my favorite things about sheet masks is that you don’t need to wash your face after using it! Apply this on your face for about 15-20 minutes and massage in any excess essence into the skin!

The Face Shop Herb Day Massage Cream in Mugwort – $9.00

Adding the massage cream was Beauteque’s idea and I was happy they wanted to include this because I am a huge fan of the cucumber massage cream I got in a past collection! You will either receive cucumber, aloe, or mugwort and what you basically do is massage it on your face for about 5 minutes and wash it off! The mugwort massage cream is meant to rejuvenate, refresh, and fight signs of aging!

Overall Thoughts/Experience

This collection has a value of about $46 and costs $26 + shipping! I had so much fun curating this with Beauteque and I couldn’t thank them enough for giving me this opportunity! I was in contact with Caitlin via email for the past couple of months and I can’t express how much I appreciate how hard she and the rest of the Beauteque team worked to bring my vision on this collection to life! Also, it was super fun and interesting to get a taste of how collections are curated and what obstacles can turn up – such as products being discontinued.
This was definitely an experience I never thought I would ever have – not once in my life did I think I would ever get a chance to do something like this! I’m so thankful for my friends, readers, and everyone who supports me in this journey because I wouldn’t have been able to do this without you all!

LuxePineapple Work It Box of Joy Unboxing

Happy Monday everyone!

If you know me you probably know how much I adore LuxePineapple! They released a new Box of Joy last week and after seeing the full preview, I couldn’t stop myself from buying it!

What is the Work It Box of Joy?
This box was curated by the lovely blogger, Heather, from My Little Subscription Box Blog! She’s a gal who has a conservative day job but still likes to have fun with makeup and the products in this box are meant to create a full neutral look! Be sure to check out her experience curating this collection + unboxing here!
The Work It Box of Joy includes 4 full sized LuxePineapple products and a deluxe sized product from Tarte and Benefit Cosmetics!
The other side of this card has a quote – which is a huge reason I really like LuxePineapple, they include positive/inspirational quotes in each box!
Cost and Availability
This box costs $24.50 + $2.50 shipping in the US, $7.00 shipping to Canada, and international shipping rates are given via email.

What is Included?
LuxePineapple Lip Gloss in Radiant – $15.00

LuxePineapple Baked Shadow Trio in Seattle – $15.00

LuxePineapple Kohl Liner in Violet – $13.00

LuxePineapple Lip Liner in Nude – $13.00
I’ll have swatches of everything at the end but you all can tell from the photo that the lippies are very nude/natural. I’m not sure how the lip liner would look on my complexion but I will definitely try it out! I fell in love with the gloss just by swatching it, I think it’ll be perfect for an everyday look!
As for the liner and shadow trio, they were the two products that locked me in! The eyeliner is a really pretty purple and the shadow trio is super pigmented and creamy like their other baked shadow trios!
Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in No Pressure – 3.2g | $10.00

Tarte Maracuja Cheek Tint in Deep Berry – 0.35 oz | $12.00

Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish in But Daddy – $15.00
The only cream shadows I’ve tried are from Maybelline and Mac so I’m really excited to see how I like this one! I love the color, it’s perfect for a daily use! I’m a bit frightened by the cheek tint because I’m afraid I’ll end up looking like a clown but I’ll for sure be experimenting with it.
The nail polish was a free gift included in this box and it’s 7 free, cruelty free, non toxic, and vegan! I have it on my nails right now and really like the color but I found the formula really thick compared to other polishes I’ve used – not in a bad way though!
Here are swatches of everything:
Overall Thoughts

I think this box is totally worth buying! It features so many products to create a full face look, both neutral as well as something bold if you decide to build up the baked shadow trio! I am really impressed with Heather’s theme and I feel like I can totally relate since I can’t really go crazy with makeup where I work either! All of these products will be super fun to experiment with, especially the cheek tint since that’s totally out of my comfort zone.
What are your thoughts on the Work It Box of Joy? If you would like to purchase it, you can do so here!
Just an FYI, using my referral link will get you $10 off your next purchase of $25 or more!
