Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette | Review and Swatches

Urban Decay’s Naked line is one of my favorites whether we’re talking about foundations, concealers, eyeshadows, etc. They have proven to be reliable products for me since Day 1 of being a beauty junkie and the palettes especially are total classics. The Naked 3 was actually the first ever high end palette I bought! When I saw the Naked Heat come out last year, I knew I had to have it. I didn’t own many fiery, warm toned shadows until the day I got my hands on Naked Heat.

Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette | Review and Swatches - One of the BEST palettes for warm browns, burnt oranges and siennas!

I’m not sure if you remember but the first sneak peek of the swatches that came out were a HUGE letdown. Judging from that photo alone, I didn’t have the highest of hopes. Thankfully though, tons of influencers came out with helpful reviews soon after – many of which showed that this palette truly has the amazing formula as the other Naked palettes.

Wet N Wild Photo Focus Foundation | Full Review

Happy Foundation Friday! Today, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on a foundation I have not been able to put down – the Wet N Wild Photo Focus Foundation. I am so hooked onto it because of how it looks and feels on my skin as well as the price point! I don’t want to spoil too many things but I will say this is one of my favorite drugstore foundations.

Morphe Brushes: Jaclyn Hill Palette | First Impressions And Giveaway

The palette that so many people have been waiting for is finally here! Morphe Brushes and Jaclyn Hill teamed up again to bring us a palette full of 35 shades created by the ever so beautiful and one of my personal favorites, Jaclyn Hill! Jaclyn had full creative control in this project and from the packaging to the shades to the formula, it’s clear she poured her heart and soul into this palette.

The only other Morphe Palettes I own are the two collabs with Jaclyn Hill and Kathleen Lights, both which I adore greatly. From the few days I’ve tested this particular palette, I can for sure say I will be using this frequently. I’ll go into detail below but if you’re here for the giveaway, scroll completely down – the Rafflecopter widget will be at the end of this post.

Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector

Alright beauties, this is a long overdue review. I mean..I’ve used up 3 of these Urban Decay Naked Skin One and Done Hybrid Complexion Perfectors (my god this is a mouthful!) already and am well onto finishing up my fourth bottle. So yes, it’s about darn time I reviewed this product!

I had been using Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Ultra Definition Liquid Foundation before I saw this hit the shelves and did enjoy it but somedays I found it leaving my skin a tad bit oily. That didn’t stop me from using 2 whole bottles though! Fast forward to when this particular product hit the shelves. I was so intrigued because it stated it was a skin treatment that provided the effects of a sheer foundation. It’s also meant to blur imperfections, even skin tone, and be a long lasting – all day wear.

Urban Decay Naked Skin One and Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector

I’ve tried dozens and dozens of foundations and I always rely on this one for daily wear. Why? Because it does exactly what it’s meant to do.

Storybook Cosmetics Wizardry and Witchcraft Palette | Review

A full makeup line of products inspired by our favorite stories? Now that is a major dream come true for me! I’m a huge bookworm so when I saw Storybook Cosmetics announce they had big plans with collabs and products, I constantly stalked their Instagram account. They first launched a set of wand shaped makeup brushes which I was lucky to grab in the first release. Then they announced they were working on this palette that I’m about to review for you all! I was so happy to preorder and although shipping commenced a few months after preordered, it was well worth the wait!

Rani Cosmetics Sparked Dazzling Lipsticks | First Impression and Swatches

As I was catching up on youtube a few days ago I noticed Eshani from Total Makeup Junkie 101 released a new video talking about her new makeup line, Rani Cosmetics!

I have been following Eshani on youtube for over a really long time now and not only love her videos, but I admire her as a person. She’s someone I can fully trust when it comes to honest reviews and facts about beauty products.
I was absolutely thrilled to hear that Rani Cosmetics initial launch was going to be a lipstick line, especially since her videos are the ones I rely on when looking for lip swatches and information on formulas.
This initial line is called the Sparked Dazzling Lipsticks and so far there are six stunning shades available. As the name suggests, these lipsticks have a shimmery finish. Seeing these was a trip down memory lane for me because I used to wear lipsticks just like these with my Indian outfits when I was younger!
Here’s a list of ingredients from their website:

Ingredients: Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, Ozokerite, Propylene Glycol, Silica, Flavor (Aroma), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, Tocopheryl Acetate, BHT, Tin Oxide.
May Contain + / – : Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Yellow 5 Lake (CI 19140), Manganese Violet (CI 77742), Blue 1 Lake (CI 42090), Red 7 Lake (CI 15850), Red 28 Lake (CI 45410), Red 30 Lake (CI 73360).
Net Wt. 0.12 fl oz. / 3.5g each
Moreover, these products are vegan and cruelty free! Each shade costs $18 but if you’re looking to buy all six, there is a bundle available for $99 (a savings of $9!) right here! Also, Rani Cosmetics offers worldwide shipping!
I am in LOVE with the packaging! It’s something different and really makes the Indian side of me super happy! The henna print on the box along with this rose gold foil design on the lipstick tube is absolutely stunning! I also really love the hot pink foiled logo as well – all in all, the packaging is gorgeous and feels luxurious!
These are the six shades available! I am so thankful the sticker labels are the true colors of the shade – I wish more brands did this!
I can’t get over how stunning the packaging is along with the shades! These shades would look beautiful on every skin tone. The formula is really smooth and buildable. They aren’t patchy at all and you’ll be good to go with just one swipe!
Here are some quick swatches I did. I’ll definitely be leaning towards Tattoo, Lassi, and Syrup for the next few months and  Latte, Bindi, and Eclipse towards the mid/end of the year! This photo does not do justice to the shimmer at all but it looks completely stunning in each shade in person! Moreover, each shade has a unique scent to it!
Here’s a description of each shade from their website:
BINDI- A classic, medium-red base laced with gold and pink shimmer. Infused with a subtle strawberries & cream scent.
SYRUP- A true, fuchsia-pink base laced with gold and pink shimmer. Infused with a subtle rose scent.
LASSI- A vibrant, orange-red base laced with gold and pink shimmer. Infused with a subtle mango scent.
ECLIPSE- A vampy, dark purple base laced with pink shimmer. Infused with a subtle coconut scent.
LATTE- A sultry, chocolate brown base laced with subtle violet and blue reflects. Infused with a subtle chai latte scent.
TATTOO- A universal, pinky-nude base laced with pink shimmer. Infused with a subtle caramel cream scent.
My overall initial thoughts on the Sparked Dazzling Lipsticks are completely positive. I had really high hopes because of Eshani herself – from her videos she seems incredibly intelligent, has reviewed a vast amount of beauty products, and also seems like someone who would put a lot of thought and effort in something like this. And I think she totally did! From the packaging to the formula it’s obvious she put a lot of time and effort into creating these products.
I am really excited to see what’s next for Rani Cosmetics! What about you? Have you bought any of these shades or do you plan to?

Tarte Rainforest After Dark Colored Clay Eye and Cheek Palette Review

I’ve had my eye on Tarte’s Rainforest After Dark Eyeshadow Palette for a while now and picked it up at Ulta when they were offering the “Make Today Beautiful” mug as a gift with purchase! Unfortunately 2 of the Ulta’s near me ran out and the third never received any – oh well! Read on below for more information on this palette , swatches, and my thoughts!

This palette costs $40 and contains 6 shadows with a mix of matte and shimmer finishes, 1 highlighter, 1 bronzer, and 1 blush. You can purchase this palette directly from Tarte , Sephora, or Ulta! I personally would recommend purchasing it from Ulta since their rewards system is pretty darn amazing! If not Ulta, I would say Sephora, especially if you’re a Beauty Insider, VIB, or VIB Rouge since all purchases will be 2x, 3x, or 4x points depending on your status through 9/17/2016!

Here is what the inside of the palette looks like:

Each shadow contains 1 gram of product, highlighter and bronzer contain 4 grams of product each, and the blush contains 6 grams of product. Moreover, this palette is formulated without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, gluten, and sodium lauryl sulfates.
Let’s see some swatches!
Just as a note, these swatches are done with Smashbox’s Photo Finish Shadow Primer and each shade is swatched twice – the top swatch is done with my finger and bottom swatch is done with a packing brush – for these swatches I used a brush from Coastal Scents – there’s no name or number on the brush.
Top to bottom: Bare to Explore, Make a Mauve, Plum Away With Me

All three of these shadows are super creamy and blendable – I haven’t had an issue with any of the shades so far!

Top to bottom: Up To No Gold, Tan-gled Up In You, and Don’t Turn A Brown

Tan-gled Up In You is a shadow I had absolutely no issues with from these three shades. Up To No Gold is one of my favorites but it will take a bit of layering to get intense pigment – nothing I haven’t had to do before! Don’t Turn A Brown, however, is the only shade in this palette I had to work with. It’s patchy and doesn’t blend easily. It’s not completely horrible, I’ve seen worse in high end palettes but it’s not the best shadow from Tarte.
Top to bottom: Champagne, Park Ave Princess, Unleashed

I don’t have any complaints with the face products in this palette. I do wish I used the highlight more – it’s stunning and doesn’t contain an immense amount of shimmer, making it perfect to use daily! I don’t use the bronzer often either but that’s because I don’t incorporate it into my daily makeup routine. The blush is a gorgeous shade as well and the selling point for me as opposed to the Showstopper Palette – the blush in that looks a bit too light for me.

This is my 6th palette from Tarte and I have yet to be disappointed. The formula of their shadows is one of my favorites! I definitely have zero regrets purchasing this palette because the face products are spot on as are all the shadows besides Don’t Turn A Brown. Also, this palette is perfect for traveling – it includes a highlight and blush I would use plus mauves, purples, and browns are my favorite shades of shadows! This might be my 6th palette from Tarte and I have not been disappointed yet! The formula of their shadows is one of my favorites!
Like I mentioned above, this palette is available at Tarte , Sephora, and Ulta! I would recommend purchasing from Ulta, if not Sephora to get the most out of your haul.
Hope you all have a great rest of your weekend!
