Beauteque Head to Toe Milk Bag Review

Beauteque is by far my favorite website to shop at when it comes to Asian beauty products! They started off 2015 by releasing their limited edition Beauteque Head to Toe Milk Bag and they kindly sent me one for review purposes. Here’s a description of the bag:

Got Milk? Well, we do! Beauteque will help you stay warm, radiant, and beautiful this Winter with milk products. One of the best kept secrets has been to use milk to keep your skin nourished and moisturized, especially during the colder months, so we wanted to share our best and favorite milk products with you. They say that milk does a body good, but it also does your skincare and beauty regimen good! We hope you enjoy trying some of the best kept milk secrets in the industry.”

This limited edition bag is only available until January 31st, 2015 and it comes with 7 FULL SIZED products! Each bag is customizable for the products that have more than one option and it costs $25.00 + shipping.

Each bag comes with a card detailing the products in each bag:

Let’s dig into the products!

Milk Wash Off Sponge – $10.00

Clinic Milk Mask – $3.00

I was really intrigued by the milk mask because I have sensitive skin and I have been looking for a facial cleansing sponge that exfoliates more gently than the current sponge I use! The milk properties in the sponge are supposed to act like an exfoliator and remove dead cells so I think that’s pretty cool and completely new to me!

If you know me you know I’m completely hooked onto sheet masks! They’re perfect for my lazy days and I was excited to see this one in my bag since I haven’t used Clinic Milk before! This mask is supposed to leave skin super smooth and the milk and protein extract ingredients leave the skin completely moisturized.

Skinfood Milk Creamy Nail Polish: $8.50

Skinfood Shea Butter Milk Lip Care Balm: $7.00

I feel like I’ve tried something from Skinfood before but I’m not totally sure – but I’m super excited for this nail polish! The color is gorgeous and the packaging is too cute! I like that this balm has shea butter and the description says it’s perfect for the cold weather so I’ll probably be opening it up sooner than later!

Secret Key Milk Brightening Toner: $19.00

Skinfood Cleansing Wildberry Milk Cleansing Foam – $12.00

Secret Key Milk Hand Cream – $6.50

I was really really happy to see the toner in this bag because I’m almost out of the one I have now and I’ve been wanting to try a new brand. This toner is effective for skin brightening and the description on the card goes on to say that its abundance of vitamins, minerals, and ions are helpful for enhancing the skins immunity. The vitamins and minerals of the milk will supply your skin with nutrients and moisture.

I’ve never tried a cleansing foam with berry extract so I’m excited to try it out! These moisturizing cleansing foams combine smooth milk extracts and the anti-oxidant agents that will wash away dirt and oil, leaving the skin soft and radiant.

I can never have too many hand creams and I love how this cream is lightweight and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling. This cream is made from donkey milk – which is totally new to me – and it moisturizes the skin and protects it by maintaining the balance between moisture and oil in the skin.

This bag has a total value of $66.00 and only costs $25.00 + shipping! I think it’s a great value and a fun and inexpensive way to try great products. It’s perfect for the winter and I know I’ll be using every single item that was included in this bag!

If you’re interested in purchasing the Beauteque Head to Toe Milk Bag, you can do so here! Remember, these bags are only available until the end of January so grab yours before they’re gone!

I received this item in exchange for my honest, unbiased opinion. All opinions expressed are my own and I would not promote an item if I did not think it would spark interest to my readers.

December 2014 Birchbox Review

I got myBirchbox super early this month but didn’t get a chance to write up a review since I had finals – which are done now so YAY! First semester of grad school is officially over!

For those who don’t know, Birchbox is a monthly beauty sampling subscription service that costs $10/month!

Birchbox is one of my favorite subscription services because I find myself actually using and loving everything (or almost everything) I receive! I’ve discovered many new brands from this sub!

Another reason I love Birchbox is their INCREDIBLE point system! For every item in your box you review, you receive 10 Birchbox points, which is equal to $1 in the Birchbox store. These points add up since you can get $5 or more worth of store credit each month!

image

This month’s theme is “Decked Out” and every review I read so far gave such great feedback on the box and I am totally on the same page as them! The box this month is GORGEOUS! It’s probably my favorite box of theirs ever!

image

If you read my past Birchbox reviews you probably know they totally rocked and set my expectations super high, so I wasn’t surprised when I was a little let down with this month’s products.

Each box comes with a detailed card listing the products included:

image

The first thing I saw in my box this month was a $10 gift card to Gap! I don’t shop there so I’ll be passing it along to someone else but I think it’s neat that every subscriber got it!

image

So let’s get onto the products:

image

Davines Replumping Superactive – 1.69 oz $19.75

Davines Replumping Duo Shampoo & Conditioner – Bonus Items!

Holy moly! I took a double take when I realized I got half of the full sized replumping superactive! It’s pretty much worth the cost of two Birchbox’s! I wasn’t super excited for the product when I looked at my sneak peek online but I’ve seen so many great reviews in the past couple of weeks which got me hyped up for it! This product is supposed leave hair looking thick and shiny – I’m excited for the shiny part but my hair is already so thick, I’m hoping it doesn’t add too much volume! Birchbox sent everyone who got this product a sample duo of the shampoo and conditioner as well! I think that’s pretty neat since I could try the whole set now and get an idea of how awesome the duo might or might now be!

imageMirenesse iCurl Secret Weapon 24Hr Mascara – .14 oz – $1.42

English Laundry Signature for Her – 2mL $2.78

Manna Kadar Lip Locked Priming Gloss Stain in Lucky – .01 oz $0.20

SeaRX Microdermabrasion Face and Body Scrub ??

I could not find an amount for the scrub and looking through other reviews – it seemed like everyone had a difference price amount written – anywhere from $2-$5.

Anywho – the first item in this photo is the mascara and I feel like I say this often but I don’t use mascaras! No worries though, I’ll be adding this to my cousin’s stocking next week! And another perfume sample!? I don’t like the scent of this so it will probably go to the trash unless I find someone to send it to! I wish there was a way to opt out of perfume samples but sadly, I can’t.

The Manna Kadar was the sample choice I picked! I wanted to see why each gloss stain was $24 and honestly – I was not impressed. I tried it and the color wasn’t for me but I also didn’t like the feeling of it and it didn’t last too long on my lips. I definitely prefer Cynthia Rowley Lip Stains and they’re $4 cheaper! My cousin wants to try this so I’ll be giving her the rest of the sample – which is super tiny by the way! I’ve never seen a lippie sample so tiny before!

I was excited to see the scrub in my box because I was just telling one of my blogger friends about how I wanted to try a micro-dermabrasion scrub and viola – I got a sample of one in my Birchbox!

Overall – the value of this box is a little over $25, without the price of the scrub, so not bad! I’m not super impressed with the contents though – they’re not bad but this box isn’t my favorite considering my past 3 boxes were beyond amazing! I’m glad I’ll be able to give most of the items I don’t like to my cousin so they won’t go to waste!

I think what I’m most excited about is the actual box for this month – I can’t get over how pretty it is!

Also – I was able to rack up 70 points in the Birchbox store for reviewing all of the products – that’s $7 in store credit! It’s almost as if I paid $3 for this box so I that was another plus!

If you’d like to sign up for Birchbox, you can so here!

What are your thoughts on December’s Birchbox? Let me know in the comments below, I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Beauteque Tra La La Travel Bag Review + Free Sheet Mask Coupon Code!

Beauteque is one of my favorite websites to shop at when I’m looking for skincare and beauty products from the Eastern side of the world – their theme is “East Meets West”! They have an amazing variety of products – I’m particularly addicted to their sheet masks!

Beauteque currently has three Holiday Bag’s out right now, the Head 2 Toe Spaliday (spa products) , Polished Holiday (variety of nail products and lotion), and Tra La La Travel Bag (skincare products) – which is the one they sent me to review! Each Holiday Bag consists of 7 full sized products and costs $28 + shipping ($4.95 for US shipping, $6.95 for CAN shipping, $10.95 for EUR shipping)

If you purchase 2 of the 3 Holiday Bags, you will receive a $10 Beauteque gift card for a future purchase in the shipment. If you purchase all 3 Holiday Bags, you will receive a $20 Beauteque gift card for a future purchase in the shipment! What a great deal! The Beauteque team was also super kind enough to create a coupon code for a free sheet mask for my readers! I’ll post it at the end of this review!

Beauteque reached out to me a few days ago and asked me to review one of their Holiday Bags and I asked them to surprise me with any of the three! I’m so glad they chose to send me the Tra La La Travel bag because this bag was just full of amazing goodies!

First of all, let me just say how cute the bag is! It was definitely bigger than I expected and I love the color!

I’ve never tried any face wipes with rosemary or herb extracts so I’m definitely intrigued and excited to try them! The creamy foam sounds really interesting but I’m not too fond of Banana scents and I couldn’t find the Banana one on their website, they only had Pomegranate and Grape, which sound nicer! I’m definitely going to put this to use though – I love how it has aloe vera and green tea extracts! I squealed when I saw the Etude House Lip Balm because I’ve been eyeing this brand for a while! I’ve read great things about them and only tried their sheet masks so I’m really excited to try another product of theirs!

It’s perfect for me since my skin’s been dry and flaky lately.  I couldn’t find the skin care kit on their website and their box says it’s meant to be a free gift. I’ve used Korean skin care products since I was a teenager so I’m really happy I got this sample set! I’m excited to try out all of the products included in it!!

This bag costs about $33 with shipping for US residents and has a value of about $45 without the skin care set! I think it’s an AMAZING deal!

This Tra La La Travel Holiday Bag has so many fun goodies and I’m totally packing the whole thing in my bag since I’ll be travelling once finals are over! I’ll be using every single product that was in this bag – which rarely happens when I get something like this!

I think this Holiday Bag is a great to purchase if you’re looking to try some new skincare products or it could make an amazing gift, as will the other two Holiday Bags!

Target Naturals and For Her Beauty Boxes Review

I’ve seen many people rave about Target beauty boxes but I never actually bought one until recently! Target recently came out with their “Naturals” and “For Her” beauty boxes and I just had to snag them – and I wasn’t the only one considering they sold out super quick!

image

I’ll be unboxing both boxes in this post, but here’s a little more info on both boxes:

For Her Beauty Box: Add a little extra sparkle to your holiday season with our handpicked collection of fresh discoveries and trusted classics from the most-wanted names in beauty.

Let’s start with the Naturals Beauty Box first!

This box cost $5 plus FREE SHIPPING! How could anyone say no to this deal?! Each of Target’s beauty boxes comes with a card detailing what is included in each box! Plus there is a coupon of $3 off a $15 purchase for certain beauty brands!

image

Skinfix Hand Repair Cream 1 oz – $9

Burt’s Bees Facial Wipes – 10 Towelettes – $3

I’ve never tried Skinfix before so I’m excited to see this included! It’s infused with oatmeal, botanicals, and emollient oils, and it sooths and protects crabby skin. I think this will be perfect for the winter!

I’ve tried Burts Bees balms but I never tried their facial wipes! Their wipes include vitamin-rich white tea, cucumber, and aloe. These will be perfect to take while travelling!

 image

SheaMoisture Coconut Hibiscus Smoothie – 3.2 oz – $2.50

SoapBox Argan Shampoo – 2 oz (Not sure on the value)

These two brands are also completely new to me, I’ve seen great reviews on the SheaMoisture so I’m definitely excited to try their product! Hopefully this will work well with my thick, curly hair – I still haven’t found the right product for it yet!

The SoapBox shampoo includes Moraccan Argan oil and is said to restore hair’s vibrant shine! I think this will be perfect to take for travelling as well!

image

Acure Organics Facial Cleanser – 1 oz $3.75

Borghese Age Defying Facial Scrub – 1 oz $4

I tried a few Acure Organic products but haven’t tried their facial cleanser yet so I’m super excited to see if I like this as much as their other products! The description says the sea kelp gently exfoliates, French green clay and lemon peel purifies, and organic Chlorella help stimulate new cell growth for a truly day-brightening experience.

Borghese is another brand completely new to me and I always love getting facial scrubs in beauty boxes! This age defying scrub restores radiant glow with a clarifying scrub that refines texture and tone.

This box was super fun! I still can’t believe I got 6 huge samples for only $5! The samples included are valued over $20 so I’m very pleased with the first Target Beauty Box I bought!

Now let’s check out the For Her Beauty Box! image

This box cost $10 plus FREE SHIPPING! It also includes a card detailing the contents of the box and it also includes coupons – a $10 code for Dermstore.com, 20% Target women’s apparel, and a $3 off $15 beauty items!

I’ve never used any of these brands before but I’m super excited to try them all! The Laneige Mask is a mineral-rich, ionized gell mask infused with dreamy Sleepscent! I think it’ll be perfect for me since my skin has become dry recently.

I love trying new serums and I’ve heard some good reviews on this one so I’m definitely going to be using it soon! I won’t be using the Hair Food since my hair is already super thick, but I’m sure I’ll find someone to pass it along to! Folks who purchased this box will either get this solution or a moisturizing mask!

image
Chapstick 3 in 1 Total Hydration Lip Care – FULL SIZE!  $2.99
Revlon HD Lacquer in HD Rose Quartz– FULL SIZE! $7.99

I’m loaded with lip balms at the moment but I don’t mind another extra considering I misplaced 3 of my other Chapsticks I got recently! I’ve never tried a Revlon Lacquer before so I’m excited to use this one, the color is so pretty!
image

L’Oreal Butterfly Intenza Mascara – FULL SIZE! $7.99

COVERGIRL Eye Enhancers Kit – FULL SIZE! $4.49

Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen – Black Noir – Travel Size – $6 ??

I don’t use mascara but I’ll be sure to pass this along to someone who will, or maybe just add it to my giveaway stash! I’ve never used any COVERGIRL shadows before so I’m still debating on trying it out or giving it to a friend! The colors are so pretty!! My last item, the Pixi Eyeliner, has got to be my favorite! I love how easily this glides on and how dark it is!

I cannot believe this box was only $10!! It has a value of about $50 and I could not have been more pleased! Target definitely knows how curate their beauty boxes! I wish I could link all of you beauties to purchase these beauty boxes but they’re all sold out.

I didn’t mention this above, but their packaging is AMAZING! I am obsessed with the boxes they used! I’ll definitely be keeping them – not sure what I’ll use them for but I know I’ll find something to put in them!

What do you think of Target’s Beauty Boxes?

November 2014 Birchbox Review

For those who don’t know, Birchbox is a monthly beauty sampling subscription service that costs $10/month!

Birchbox is one of my favorite subscription services because I find myself actually using and loving everything (or almost everything) I receive! I’ve discovered many new brands from this sub!

Another reason I love Birchbox is their INCREDIBLE point system! For every item in your box you review, you receive 10 Birchbox points, which is equal to $1 in the Birchbox store. These points add up since you can get $5 or more worth of store credit each month!

The past 2 months were so amazing for me that I knew it would be super difficult to please me 3 months in a row but I was pleasantly surprised at how I got another amazing box!

image

The cool thing about this month was that Birchbox will donate $1 for every photo of the red box shared on social media with the hashtag #shaRED!image

I also found it neat how each Birchbox came with a holiday gift guide!

image

Like every month, each box comes with a card detailing the items sent to you!

image

I love how they added a bonus item in everyone’s box this month!

image

Royal Apothic Cuppa Cuppa Firming Tea Treatment Mask – .33 oz $9.67

Amika Nourishing Mask – .7 oz $4.00

I was surprised to get both of these items in my box since they were both sample choices! I didn’t choose a sample choice for November so I was pleased to get both of these products! Both are completely new to me and I’ve heard amazing reviews for both so I’m definitely ecstatic to try them out!

imageDang Toasted Coconut Chips – Bonus Item!

Gilchrist & Soames Spa Therapy Body Lotion – 1.35 oz $2.53

I’m iffy about these coconut chips but I will give them a try since I’ve heard many people say they were super delicious! I’m not always happy about seeing body lotions in my box but now I’m actually loving receiving lotion samples since the weather is making my skin super dry! This lotion smells great and it’s really hydrating, I might just buy a full sized one from the Birchbox store!

image
TheBalm Cindy-Lou Manizer – .02 oz $1.60

Cynthia Rowley Beauty Creamy Lip Stain – Heartthrob – .079 oz $9.29

I’ve heard so many people wanting a sample of this Cindy-Lou Manizer! I’m positive it’s a great product but I knew I wasn’t going to use it so I sent it over to a friend who wanted to try it out! I was really excited about this Cynthia Rowley Lip Stain since I tried out a different color a couple weeks ago! I find their lip stains to be long lasting and highly pigmented so I was glad I got to sample this color! It’s perfect for the fall! I’m waiting for the right moment to splurge on more colors in the Birchbox shop!

I’m definitely pleased with this month’s Birchbox! I got to sample 2 of the sample choices that I was interested in trying and I love all the products Birchbox chose for me!

If you’re interested in subscribing to Birchbox I’d love for you to use my referral link here!

As always, if you have any questions feel free to message me!

Azara Organics Seaweed Powder Review

image

So I received this product from Azara Organics for testing purposes a few weeks ago! Let me just mention that the owner of Azara Organics is so sweet! She stayed in constant communication with me after I was approved to test this product out through Tomoson! I love how passionate she is about Azara Organics and it was just refreshing to talk to such a lovely owner!

Azara Organics is a fairly new brand and I was excited to try their organic seaweed powder because it is completely chemical free and I’ve heard tons of great things about seaweed facial masks! Seaweed masks are great for your skin because they remove all the impurities and flush out toxins!

I have used this quite a few times ever since I received it! My goal has always been to use facial masks at least 3 times a week but I haven’t been able to keep up with my routine because of how draining school can be.

If you haven’t used a powder mask before, don’t worry – it’s super easy! Just take a spoon or two of this powder and mix it in 2-4 spoons of water and you’re done! However, if you do not like the smell of seaweed, I highly recommend adding in a drop of essential oil! I don’t know about you all but I CANNOT stand the smell of seaweed! I added in a drop of tea tree oil and it made this mask 100 times more bearable and it added a cooling effect to my face!

I applied a medium layer of the mask all over my face and left it on for 15 minutes! After it dried, I washed it with warm water and was amazed with how clean, smooth, and cool my face felt! I’ve noticed a difference in my skin in the past few weeks and will continue to use up this powder!

I’m totally addicted to this mask and will definitely buy more of it once I finish up this huge tub! If you’re interested in buying this seaweed powder, you can do so here for $17.95!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

PINCHme NYFW Box Review

For those who don’t know, PINCHme is a FREE sampling service that allows its members to choose samples and have them mailed directly to their home! In order to qualify for future samples, you must review each product on the PINCHme website, but no worries, the reviews are super short and does not take much time!

This box was not given to all PINCHme users, it was a prize given to winners on Twitter a few weeks ago!

Although I was not one of the winners, PINCHme was kind enough to send me this box to review! This box featured numerous brand partners from the NYFW Event!

Just one look at the contents got me super excited!

image

Here’s a closer look at the contents!

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

Revlon by Marchesa File N’ Peel 6 in 1 Nail File

Toms Long Lasting Deodorant in Wild Lavender

I was so excited to see the Real Techniques brush because I’ve been in search of a new foundation brush and this one works really well! I’ve been using it for 5 days now and I’m hooked!

I was also excited to see this nail file in my box because I’ve read great reviews! I think it’ll be a great replacement for the one I have now!

I LOVE Toms Deodorant, however, I’m more of a fan of the roll ons but these are great too! I got one of these in my PINCHme boxes a month or two ago but I’m glad to have an extra!

image

ROC Retinol Correction Eye Cream

Renew Sleep Spa Mask

Kisstixx Lip Balm Duo

No7 High Shine Lip Crayon in Tickle

VBeute Anti-Aging Samples

The Eye Cream and Anti Aging samples I’m sure my mom will use more than me so I’ll be giving them to her! I know I won’t be using the Lip Crayon but I’m sending it to a friend so it won’t go to waste!

My mom actually used the Sleep Mask last night and she fell in love! We’re definitely going to be purchasing a whole set soon! As for the Lip Balms, I really want to use them but I already have 4 open lip balms that need to be used up first! I’m debating them on sending them to a friend or keeping them for the future! I’m intrigued because of how one’s sweet and the other’s sour and I’ve never tried this brand before so I’d love to see how it compares to the Chapstick and Deco Naturals I use now!

image

Essenza Luxury Hand Soap in Rosemary Mint

ecoTools Facial Sponge

Advanced Healing Blister Band-Aids

Packet of Kleenex

I love love love the hand soap! It smells great and definitely feels luxurious! I’m super excited to try the facial sponge, I feel like it will definitely help clean my skin better! I’m glad to see the Band-Aids because you can never have too many of them! They’re perfect for trips or just days you’re out and about for a long period of time! I was super happy to see the packet of Kleenex as well because it’s the time of year where I always get a cold! It’ll be perfect to keep in my bag!

Skinny Pop Popcorn

Skinny Cow Raspberry Crisp Candy Bar

Bobble Water Bottle

Pure Via Sweetener

I think the popcorn will be a great snack, especially since I have exams right around the corner and need my munchies!

I’m not going to lie, I immediately tore open the candy bar when I got this box! I couldn’t resist! I’m always hesitant when there’s fruit mixed in with chocolate but the raspberry wasn’t overwhelming at all! This bar tasted great, I’m totally going to buy some more!

I’ve heard about the Bobble water bottle but wasn’t sure to get it or not. I’m definitely going to put it in use and see how I like it! I think it’s the perfect size for days when I only have one class to attend! The only downside to the Bobble is that you have to replace the filter every 2-3 months and that can get pricey!

The Pure Via is completely new to me but I’m excited to try it!

This NYFC PINCHme box blew my mind! I was so impressed with all the full sized and sample sized products that were in the box! I’m really excited to try all of these brands and see what I love the most!

PINCHme did a great job with putting these boxes together! I’m excited to see what other contests they hold for everyone!

If you’re not signed up on PINCHme yet, I recommend creating an account as soon as possible! New samples will be released on Tuesday, October 21st at 12PM EDT!
