Storybook Cosmetics Wizardry and Witchcraft Palette | Review

A full makeup line of products inspired by our favorite stories? Now that is a major dream come true for me! I’m a huge bookworm so when I saw Storybook Cosmetics announce they had big plans with collabs and products, I constantly stalked their Instagram account. They first launched a set of wand shaped makeup brushes which I was lucky to grab in the first release. Then they announced they were working on this palette that I’m about to review for you all! I was so happy to preorder and although shipping commenced a few months after preordered, it was well worth the wait!

Liquid lipsticks are one of my favorite beauty products, I have hundreds and will definitely own hundreds more. So naturally, when Lady Burgundy came out with their new line of Matte Lip Creams, I was beyond ecstatic!

Lady Burgundy started off as a beauty, fashion, and lifestyle blog several years ago and since then has created their own line of cosmetics. These lip creams have been in the making for two years and are created with quality ingredients and are home made in Canada. Plus, these babies are cruelty free, always a plus in my book!

If you're looking for POC friendly and incredibly comfortable liquid matte lipsticks with stunning packaging, Lady Burgundy is for you!

Disclaimer: I was sent these lip creams free of charge. This post is not sponsored and there are no referral/affiliate links. As always, all opinions are 100% mine.

ColourPop recently launched more of their Blotted Lips along with a brand new formula – Ultra Blotted Lips! These two formulas are meant to go hand in hand with the “no makeup” makeup trend.

ColourPop launched 8 new shades of their Blotted Lips and 8 shades of their Ultra Blotted Lips and I of course had to have them all in my collection! Below you’ll find my first impressions, swatches, along with a ColourPop giveaway. I purchased a few ColourPop goodies for one lucky reader – the prizes will remain a mystery but I may or may not be giving hints on Instagram. *wink wink, nudge nudge*

Rani Cosmetics Sparked Dazzling Lipsticks | First Impression and Swatches

As I was catching up on youtube a few days ago I noticed Eshani from Total Makeup Junkie 101 released a new video talking about her new makeup line, Rani Cosmetics!

I have been following Eshani on youtube for over a really long time now and not only love her videos, but I admire her as a person. She’s someone I can fully trust when it comes to honest reviews and facts about beauty products.
I was absolutely thrilled to hear that Rani Cosmetics initial launch was going to be a lipstick line, especially since her videos are the ones I rely on when looking for lip swatches and information on formulas.
This initial line is called the Sparked Dazzling Lipsticks and so far there are six stunning shades available. As the name suggests, these lipsticks have a shimmery finish. Seeing these was a trip down memory lane for me because I used to wear lipsticks just like these with my Indian outfits when I was younger!
Here’s a list of ingredients from their website:

Ingredients: Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, Ozokerite, Propylene Glycol, Silica, Flavor (Aroma), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, Tocopheryl Acetate, BHT, Tin Oxide.
May Contain + / – : Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Yellow 5 Lake (CI 19140), Manganese Violet (CI 77742), Blue 1 Lake (CI 42090), Red 7 Lake (CI 15850), Red 28 Lake (CI 45410), Red 30 Lake (CI 73360).
Net Wt. 0.12 fl oz. / 3.5g each
Moreover, these products are vegan and cruelty free! Each shade costs $18 but if you’re looking to buy all six, there is a bundle available for $99 (a savings of $9!) right here! Also, Rani Cosmetics offers worldwide shipping!
I am in LOVE with the packaging! It’s something different and really makes the Indian side of me super happy! The henna print on the box along with this rose gold foil design on the lipstick tube is absolutely stunning! I also really love the hot pink foiled logo as well – all in all, the packaging is gorgeous and feels luxurious!
These are the six shades available! I am so thankful the sticker labels are the true colors of the shade – I wish more brands did this!
I can’t get over how stunning the packaging is along with the shades! These shades would look beautiful on every skin tone. The formula is really smooth and buildable. They aren’t patchy at all and you’ll be good to go with just one swipe!
Here are some quick swatches I did. I’ll definitely be leaning towards Tattoo, Lassi, and Syrup for the next few months and  Latte, Bindi, and Eclipse towards the mid/end of the year! This photo does not do justice to the shimmer at all but it looks completely stunning in each shade in person! Moreover, each shade has a unique scent to it!
Here’s a description of each shade from their website:
BINDI- A classic, medium-red base laced with gold and pink shimmer. Infused with a subtle strawberries & cream scent.
SYRUP- A true, fuchsia-pink base laced with gold and pink shimmer. Infused with a subtle rose scent.
LASSI- A vibrant, orange-red base laced with gold and pink shimmer. Infused with a subtle mango scent.
ECLIPSE- A vampy, dark purple base laced with pink shimmer. Infused with a subtle coconut scent.
LATTE- A sultry, chocolate brown base laced with subtle violet and blue reflects. Infused with a subtle chai latte scent.
TATTOO- A universal, pinky-nude base laced with pink shimmer. Infused with a subtle caramel cream scent.
My overall initial thoughts on the Sparked Dazzling Lipsticks are completely positive. I had really high hopes because of Eshani herself – from her videos she seems incredibly intelligent, has reviewed a vast amount of beauty products, and also seems like someone who would put a lot of thought and effort in something like this. And I think she totally did! From the packaging to the formula it’s obvious she put a lot of time and effort into creating these products.
I am really excited to see what’s next for Rani Cosmetics! What about you? Have you bought any of these shades or do you plan to?

This palette is absolutely magical!
Here’s a description straight from Sephora :
What it is:
A kaleidoscopic, unicorn-inspired eyeshadow palette with 10 radiant shadows and a strobing eye and cheek highlighter.

What it does:
The make believe in yourself eye & cheek palette features hypnotic shades that can be layered with the matte base and the strobing eye and cheek highlighter for a multi-faceted, fairy-like glow. Infused with Amazonian clay and mineral pigments, the silky-soft formula blends to a fine, long-lasting finish without any fallout or chalkiness.

This palette contains:
– 10 x 0.105 oz/ 3 g Eyeshadow in Magic (bronze shimmer), Wings (copper shimmer), Marvel (metallic sage shimmer), Trance (taupe slate shimmer), Fairy (metallic lavender shimmer), Mystic (blue pearl shimmer), Dream (turquoise shimmer), Crystal (iridescent champagne shimmer), Pixie (golden pink shimmer), Myth (matte nude)
Let’s check out some swatches – these are without primer
I adore this palette since I don’t have many shades like these already, particularly the blues/greens. Moreover, these shadows blend really well and they’re long lasting!

ABH Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit Swatches + Mini Review

Let’s just start by saying I bought this palette three days ago and am ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED.

As someone who owns a hundred other highlighters, not including the 3 ABH glow kits, I convinced myself I did not need it.
Well I didn’t do a great job convincing myself since I grabbed one instantly after swatching it in Sephora the other day.
Let’s talk about this palette before diving into the swatches.
Anastasia Beverly Hills collaborated with youtuber, Nicole Guerriero to create this palette. It features six metallic powder highlighters to provide a stunning, luminous glow. You can use a damp beauty sponge or brush to get an even more intense highlight!
The cost: $40 and you can grab this palette on the ABH website (free shipping on orders $25+) or Sephora (free shipping on orders $50+ if you order online – unless you have Sephora Flash – if you don’t I highly recommend getting it – $10/year for free shipping on all orders!)
Formula: The formula is really fine, smooth and blendable. These don’t look chalky or powdery at all and the shimmers don’t look chunky on the skin either.

Here’s a better description of the 6 shades:

  • Kitty Kat: pink with a platinum shimmer
  • Daydream: coral with white gold shimmer
  • Forever Young: pink pearl with silver shimmer
  • Forever Lit: platinum with lavender shimmer
  • Glo Getter: champagne with rose shimmer
  • 143: rose gold with bronze shimmer
What I really love about this palette is how wonderful the shades will look on so many different skin tones! I feel like I can rock all six shades with my medium/warm/olive skin tone. Plus, the possibilities are endless since you can create so many fun shades by mixing them up!
I’ve been mixing Glo Getter and Daydream the past three days and LOVE it the combination!
I highly recommend this palette to anyone who’s looking for fun, new shades to try out. Or if you want to add a new palette to your collection – THIS. IS. IT.
Grab yours at a local Sephora or purchase it online here!
