Urban Decay released several new eyeshadow palettes in 2018 and one of them was this beauty On the Run Mini Eyeshadow Palette in Shortcut. There are three On the Run Palettes, the other two being Bailout (cocoa neutrals and purple hues) and Detour (sienna-hued neutrals and teals+greens). These mini eyeshadow palettes were inspired by the Born To Run Palette.

ON THE RUN EYESHADOW PALETTES
Like I mentioned above, these mini eyeshadow palettes were inspired by Urban Decay’s Born To Run Palette. On the Run is a trio of eyeshadow palettes that each mix eight matte and metallic shadows and are perfect for your next getaway! These eyeshadows are free of sulfates and phthalates and Urban Decay is cruelty free.

ON THE RUN PALETTE – SHORTCUT
Here’s Urban Decay’s description of Shortcut:
“Find your own way with Shortcut and its mix of blush-toned neutrals and deep desert rose hues. Add extra shimmer with a coppery red transformer shade.”
AVAILABILITY AND PRICE OF ON THE RUN EYESHADOW PALETTE
On the Run – Shortcut can be found on Urban Decay’s website as well as a variety of retailers like Sephora and Ulta. This eyeshadow palette retails for $25.
PACKAGING OF ON THE RUN PALETTE
The On the Run Eyeshadows Palettes are beautifully designed. Shortcut has red packaging with a hint of pink and nude. It’s not super bulky either, think their Naked Cherry Cheek and Highlight Palette but less than a centimeter longer. The inside has two rows of four shades in each and a mirror on top. It’s perfectly sized to stick in your purse or weekender bag!
SHADE RANGE OF ON THE RUN PALETTE
There’s a nice mix of matte neutrals and a few fun metallics in Shortcut. Shade names/descriptions are from Urban Decay’s website:
Dash (pale bronze-gold shift)
Escape (warm peach matte)
Detour (deep mustard matte)
16th Street (metallic bronze-gold)
Confidential (deep terra-cotta matte)
Switchback (holographic green shift transformer)
Off The Grid (pink ivory matte)
Plunge (deep metallic blue green)
MY THOUGHTS ON URBAN DECAY’S ON THE RUN EYESHADOW PALETTE
Shortcut is a palette I reach for the most out of the three since I prefer these types of shades. I thoroughly enjoy this mini eyeshadow palette because it’s perfect to travel with. There’s a decent mirror in here, the packaging isn’t insanely bulky and the curated shades are perfect to create a variety of looks with.
You can purchase Urban Decay’s On the Run – Shortcut Palette on Urban Decay’s website or from retailers like Sephora and Ulta.
