Urban Decay On the Run Mini Palette – Shortcut | Swatches

Urban Decay released several new palettes in 2018 and one of them was this beauty On the Run Mini Palette in Shortcut. There are three On the Run Palettes, the other two being Bailout (cocoa neutrals and purple hues) and Detour (sienna-hued neutrals and teals+geens). These mini palettes were inspired by the Born To Run Palette.

Like I mentioned above, these mini palettes were inspired by Urban Decay’s Born To Run Palette. On the Run is a trio of palettes that each mix eight matte and metallic shadows and are perfect for your next getaway! These shadows are free of sulfates and phthalates and Urban Decay is cruelty free.

Here’s Urban Decay’s description of Shortcut:
“Find your own way with Shortcut and its mix of blush-toned neutrals and deep desert rose hues. Add extra shimmer with a coppery red transformer shade.”

On the Run – Shortcut can be found on Urban Decay’s website as well as a variety of retailers like Sephora and Ulta. This palette retails for $25.

The On the Run Palettes are beautifully designed. Shortcut has red packaging with a hint of pink and nude. It’s not super bulky either, think their Naked Cherry Cheek and Highlight Palette but less than a centimeter longer. The inside has two rows of four shades in each and a mirror on top. It’s perfectly sized to stick in your purse or weekender bag!

There’s a nice mix of matte neutrals and a few fun metallics in Shortcut. Shade names/descriptions are from Sephora’s website:
Sin (pale nude shimmer)
Laced (pinky-taupe matte)
Shortcut (medium rose-pink matte)
Afterhours (soft black satin with iridescent micro-sparkle)
Back Alley (chocolate brown matte)
Rendezvous (Bordeaux matte with blue-sparkle),
Gash (metallic brick red)
Zone (metallic pink-red with copper micro-sparkle transformer)

Shortcut is the one I reach for the most out of the three since I prefer these types of shades. I thoroughly enjoy this mini palette because it’s perfect to travel with. There’s a decent mirror in here, the packaging isn’t insanely bulky and the curated shades are perfect to create a variety of looks with.

You can purchase Urban Decay’s On the Run – Shortcut Palette on Urban Decay’s website or from retailers like Sephora and Ulta.
